Arsenal are lucky Suarez is out for Liverpool. If he were playing they'd have no shot at Europa League.

Losing Suarez hurts but I think Carroll will be a lot better in a starting role and with Gerrard back. I wouldn't write Liverpool off yet.

I realize you're not writing Liverpool off with that comment, I just wanted to say that

Ha, I just watched it on DVR. Waste. Of. Time.

Gervinho and Walcott are awful finishers.

I like Gervinho, but too often he takes about 10 touches too many which holds up the play and allows him to get double teamed at the edge of the box. By the time he finally decides to make a move, everyone he can cross to is covered. I think by this time next year we will be singing his praises though, he's still in an adjustment period. If you've ever watched French football, it's much slower paced, so he had time to make those decisions and take people on one-on-one and still end up with a chance to shoot. Look at Koscielny, everyone griped about him last season and he is arguably one of the best defenders in the league this year...just took him a while to adjust to the difference in play.

IDK what is up with Walcott. I have heard he has grown an attitude this season (and he showed it when he threw a fit getting subbed off at Man City a couple games back). I think he can be great when he wants to play, but it seems like lately he doesn't want to work on the field. His head has gotten big and with the holes in the current squad, he has basically no competition for play time, so he can get away with being lazy.

Second half of the game today was horrible. If it wasn't already before, it should be painfully obvious to Wenger now that he needs to buy this month. There is so little depth on the bench. He had no choice but to play a lot of the same guys today that played 2 days ago, so by 60 minutes in they were dead.

I just wish Gervinho would do something different with his hair. It looks awful. He's going bald but still wants to hang onto these long braids.

Swansea get Gylfi SigurĂ°sson on loan of the rest of the season. If he is as good in real life as he is in FM12, this could be a big boost.

lpool decides not to appeal after deciding that Suarez "seeming" to be lying and Evra "seeming" to be telling the truth is just far too overwhelming evidence to overcome.

in related news, the FA decided that Rooney's 4 game suspension is too harsh and have decided to allow him to facestomp a player to be named later

An appeal wasn't going to get them anywhere after it's come this far and there's no real opportunity to produce evidence that would change their minds

it is what it is

I didn't add this earlier and should have.

Woy should be ashamed of himself and the tactics he employed today. His team clearly had no intention of going forward and literally played half the game with 10 men at the edge of the goalie box. It's a disgrace when a team would rather not be scored upon then actually play the beautiful game. I understand the importance of trying to draw on the road, but what he did today is not soccer.

I fully understand Jose's "parking the bus" analogy now.

Yeah, it was the literal definition of parking the bus. It was Odemwingie vs. Kaboul/Gallas every time they got the ball.

I would like to point out that Kenny Dalglish, Luis Suarez, and everyone associated with the Liverpool Football Club's decision to try and call out the FA and make a stand on the 8 game ban for Suarez is an abject piece of shit, and I hope the FA lays down the fucking god hammer and bans them all for life.

whatever, I'm not getting into it anymore. I've said LFC handled it poorly already and at the very least, they could have issued (or made Suarez in his statement) an apology to Evra. But what are they supposed to do? Back another player's word over their own? There's no fucking evidence.

SAF agreed with the ban. To me, that's Gospel since he never exaggerates or complains without good reason.

Currently downloading the Premiership Years 1992-20xx, not sure where it stops. Some guy on reddit uploaded them so I thought I'd take a look seeing I know nothing prior to the Invincibles and very little after that.

To me it looked like Ricketts had just planted his foot as Donovan was picking his up to take another step and got caught, to me. So it didn't really look like a trip but with Donovan's position it had to be a penalty.
