I fucking love tunics. If anyone can find a repository of cheap-ish tunics, plz let me know.

anybody used glycolic acid toner or another AHA? I got some since i had some weird blackheads on my cheeks, but i'm kind of scared to use it. mine is 8%.

<3 tunics as well. With leggingsor skinny jeans and boots. I have found a few petite cut dresses that work really well as tunics on me.

^^ I used two different kinds of glycolic acid peel @ 60%

it worked pretty well, but I have never used it as a toner, just use it carefully, maybe test it on the corner of your face if you are concerned about a reaction.

i actually have pretty good skin, all things considered, so i am scared anything i try is just going to make it worse. but i guess my stuff is pretty weak, all in all. did you apply your peel yourself, klaty? i see people claiming they rinse with baking soda afterwards, did you do that?

Yes I applied it myself and no I haven't heard of the baking soda thing, but maybe that would have been good to try my first time.

the very first time I did that peel it was uncomfortable so I left it on for half the time they recommend.

to men, seeing a tunic with leggings means that someone just gave up. its basically the same as wearing a muumuu.

I am apprehensive about peels because I think it can thin your skin over time, even the low % ones. Over -use, over- time kind of thing like anything else.

Now I wanna go on a tunic hunt. I prefer empire waist (to avoid the muumuu effect) or at least something stretchy and/or tailored. I have huge boobs so if there isn't some sort of form I look pregnant with a loose top. I also will wear a belt over a tunic to achieve the same effect.

Empire waist is key. I like something solid on the top and patterned on the bottom. Kind of fun.

This is considered a tunic. Some girls wouldn't wear anything else under.

I've seen a ton of dolman(sp?) maternity tops online. I don't know how I feel about those. Guess I could try to find one in a store and try it on.

I am not a fan of the dolman sleeve or all this drop shoulder business. And it's really popular right now. I think it definitely flatters some people though.

I think you should only use peels if your skin needs big help, I agree people get addicted to these things and can easily overdue it

I have a dress with dolman sleeves. It's comfortable and flattering. But y'know I have no shoulders and fat arms.

I don't think it looks good on people with short arms.

And I don't like this trend either:

once again i am at a loss as to what to wear...

this is how seldom i actually go out anymore

tonight i am going to a birthday dinner then on to a trashy biker bar to listen to a good band...

my options are:

1) cream colored sweater with dark jeans and wine-colored booties

2) sweater dress with leggings and black boots

i'm leaning toward 1 simply because i want to wear the booties...

however, i look pretty smoking in 2

I need pics. But, is there someone at the party or bar you want to bwn? If yes wear 2 if no wear 1. Not that 1 doesn't look good, but from your description you like you in 1 boys like you in 2.

Well, the sweater dresses are kind of practical for me since I spend 5 months of the year shivering. I really love the black and white one, but I hate long sleeves. Like, it's gotta be some kind of overpiece for me to not play with the sleeves and scrunch them up and ruin them(for that reason I'd really love to get that cashmere cardigan) And in practice, I hate wearing stuff with a lot of white, because I'm overly scared of stains. And I already have two black and white print dresses, and I want something for a wedding. can I wear that one to a wedding? I think it's gonna be kinda casual but I don't wanna piss anyone off.

these two got added to the site today after I looked this afternoon. They're some kind of jersey, and I think I would wear them all the time. The neckline is a little iffy though, and I'm scared the red one looks weird IRL.

Anyone have a gel moisturizer you like a lot? I just ran out of the Mary Kay kind I have been using forever, and I don't think they make it anymore. And even if they do I don't really want to get wrapped up in a MK representative's marketing circle.

What are the benefits of a gel?
I use celestial by lush but it is a lotion. Calming redness reducer for sensitive skin.

I don't really know, I just tend to like gels better. Lotions usually feel too sticky or something to me. Like I know a lot of people like the Clinique mosturizer, but I can't stand it. I have a Lancome lotion one that is OK, but I don't like it as much as gels.

I used the Garnier one in the link ^ with success. Which says a lot considering that my face burns when I sweat (I'm that sensitive). I liked it, and now I use their BB make-up with no moisturizer.

I also hate the Clinique moisturizer. It made me breakout badly.

Is there some trick to those little nipple-guard pads or whatever the fuck these little triangle things are that are in a bunch of dresses? In bathing suits they are removable and thus have a little hole where you can smooth them out, but in dresses they are always sewn in at one point in the middle, and the rest of it smooshes up when you wash it into a little ball that makes me want to punch kittens.

I am sitting here with the top of the dress I am wearing pulled down around my waist so I can reach the triangle thingies, and I'm about to give up and go out half-dressed because this is really pissing me off.

It's 70 degrees here, yo.

I could cut them out, but I do like their boob-smoothing effect. I was secretly hoping someone would be able to unlock the secret of the boob-triangles.

Can you cut your own slits and jimmy your fingers in there to smooth them out?
