They replaced her (and other screen real estate) with helpful links informing of the additional ways that one can sign up. Everyone seems to think the website is the only way to sign up, but you can do so over the phone, through the mail, and in person with a helper. So it's not like everyone's fucked because the website sucks. I don't know why the administration hasn't made this clear before.

is there a fox news article that doesn't have the comments removed/unavailable? I notice that most articles I do read don't have comments.

I would like to see the full on crazies not just the amateurs on CNN and the local stations websites..

that's what Fox Nation is for

or at least used to be. I haven't been in a few months but that's where I would go to do my hate-reading

just go to drudge

his legion of crazies blow up every article they can that he links to

way more insane than fox news

also, drudge sets the narrative for fox's afternoon/next morning taking points, so you'll be ahead of the curve

I don't see how any of them can be any crazier than some of our very own GOLOers on WRAL. I'm sure national sites have more volume of crazy though.

Anybody else notice this gem? Besides being sad/pathetic I can only assume that plenty of users here waste their time similarly.

That goes for both sides.

As dumb as dtownral is he almost always catches his idiocy and fixes it.

So around noon today, Fox had a small story about the huge storm that was about to hit the Phillipines. However, it was an older AP story that hadn't been updated in hours, and was still reporting that the winds were only 134 mph with gusts up to 155 mph. All other stations had updated this to 190 mph and 230 mph gusts for several hours. I just looked back to see if they had updated it, and there's not even a story about it on the front page (but they do have a story about a kid being suspended from school for having a purse)

I was told that even paper forms mailed in eventually have to be entered into the website by someone who receives the paper.

Guns can be advertised, if they are casually mentioned in an ad (like Dicks Sporting Goods) or whatever, but the commercial cant be exclusively about guns.

I cant say ive ever seen a commercial about Billy Bobs Gun Emporium and Beaner Blast during and NFL game anyway, so this is fucking bullshit. Ive probably only ever seen local Pawn Shops doing this shit during unimportant broadcasts (like Sanderson and Son).

...so I cha[u]lk it up to obvious pandering and they need to shut the fuck up.

Is there an NRA equivalent that stands up for the 1st amendment?

^There's the ACLU I guess. But they're more of a legal organization, than a lobbying and campaign politics organization.

The gun manufacturers make profit off having a group like the NRA, so it's worth funding all that stuff. I don't know that there is similarly large profit motive for any group relating to the first amendment.

The right needs more commentators that want to shit in people's mouths, hate cocksucking fags, and want to stone certain members of congress to death / kill their families.

Or rather, the right needs more commentators that openly proclaim these things.

Fox News had a controversial column about how Pope Francis is the Catholic Obama and we are all screwed:
http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/12/04/pope-francis-is-catholic-churchs-obama-god-help-us/

A Jesuit priest called it the worst column of 2013:
https://twitter.com/JamesMartinSJ/status/408370956176879616

Turns out the author of this column is the Fox News video game reviewer. That's hilarious.
