I was kind of undecided on the bill because it was sounded sorta like "gays are pansy & need extra consideration." But when I saw that over five hundred people could rally together on facebook against it, I became for it. I'm not sure how much gays at ncsu need this center, but its something that much of the rest of the population in the area needs apparently.

this is probably why they should have just made a massive diversity center. and then they can use it like the african american center. small sections for everybody and the rest for other stuff, like the newspaper, and theater and stuff.

other than a few classes there, and maybe a few faculty members, there wasn't much in witherspoon that i could recall as race specific. maybe i just never thoroughly checked it out. and i'm sure if people walked in there and didn't know it was the african american student center, it would just be "the theater" to them. gives a place for african american programs and stuff, but if i remember correctly just about everybody used it for cultural programs.

i say, if we are gonna make a building. might as well make a diversity building. cover all the bases. won't be promoting separation. it would be promoting mixture of everybody. if you feel like making a group about some sort of cultural issue. do your stuff in there. as long as your group isn't built around hate towards other groups.
