Boots are fine, but put on some black tights

too much with that matching color

[Edited on January 5, 2012 at 10:00 PM. Reason : it almost looks clownish with the large polka dots, vibrant color, and matching vibrant tights]

camera flash (or other bright lighting) + a reddish black = purple

plus you're seeing the contrast between black leather and black fabric

"Hey Ladies, forgive me for not searching the whole thread to see if someone posted about this, but does anyone know of a good salon in Durham where I can get good/healthy (as healthy as it can be) color correction or stripping? My natural color is dark blond / light brown, but I've been dying in super dark brown for the past few years and I'm tired of the upkeep. When I have about an inch of natural grown in, it looks grey My hair's pretty long and I'd like to keep the length, otherwise I would just chop it off (it grows so fast that I should re-color my hair more often than I care to do). In the future, I think I'll stick with not so permanent color or low lights. Thanks for all your help!"

question about tights...

i have some footless tights that are black. i'd like to wear them with a dress & heels but im concerned about how much the exposed ankle "dresses down" the outfit

also what if the dress is 3/4 sleeve? i don't want to look like my clothes are to small (exposed ankles & forearms) & all choppy like

^ would need a picture, bc it depends, but by the sound of it it might look like all your clothes shrank in the wash.

IMO the 2nd pair look the best, 1st and 4rth (while more hipster-esque) are too big for my taste... the trend is sort of , but they all look good on ya

Anyone up? I need new undies! My ass is shrinking but it is still big. I need comfy drawers, cuz I run around after children all day. Will be wearing them under jeans mostly.

I know they're not the most popular by ANY means, but I have discovered (and LOVE) Aeropostale's undies!!! Mainly their bikinis.....

but I would say stay away from the briefs, thyey look more comfy and like they would cover more, but they LIE!!!! haha

Yes, they are younger looking and not very adult-like....but like I said they are soooooo comfortable and you can get 3 for $12.

Just another option.

I LOVE Hanes hipsters! They're cotton, super soft, hold up better than any other underwear Ive had (used to only wear VS), and come in a billion different colors & patterns. They have them at target. 3 pack for $8ish. I buy out the outlet store's supply when we go to Smithfield too.

They are stupidly overpriced, but I LOVE the under armour undies. Particularly the mesh boy short and active hipsters. Very comfortable and don't ride up (ever!).

Where do I get the under armor ones? And hanes are one of my staples. I will look at aeroposttale, but im not sure if i can wear them. I barely fit in to their jeans. Big ass and hips are not in style.

I too love Hanes hipsters. Also used to only buy VS, but I have seen the Hanes light.

I still buy VS bras though but it's been awhile. Still nursing so I have pea in the pod nursing bras which are sooooo comfy. the target brand do not fit me as well, but I have some of those too.

Before I got too fat to wear them, I lived in Victoria Secret's cotton bikinis.

I pretty much exclusively wear Champion's C9 seamless sports bras from Target.

Yes, they squash my boobies down and give me a uniboob, but I don't care. They're just too comfy.

I really like Gap Body underwear, though I only ever seem to buy them out of the clearance bins (so about $2.50 a pop).

I'll be going out shopping soon! I think I will try to get a pair of hanky pankies, like db19 suggested, and then a pair of those under armor ones, and then a pack of hanes. I'll try out the fancy ones, and if I like them I'll get more next paycheck.

I could never find a pair of underwear that fit correctly/didn't ride up/no VPL... so I just stopped wearing them. It works for me since I wear gym clothes 99% of the time and pants with cotton gussets are easy to come by.

Also, I ordered the first pair of glasses. Should be here in 2 weeks!

I keep wanting to get a pair when I'm there, but I always say no. Next time I'll check them out

I just got glasses for the first time in my life, and I thought I was super dorky at first with them, but now I kind of like it. The frames I got were some deep red Versace ones from LensCrafters.

My eyes are ridiculous though, apparently one in nearsighted and the other one is farsighted?

I buy mine online, because it's easier than fighting the crowds to go shopping here. I think most sporting goods stores carry them (modell's, dicks, sports authority...)

^I had to do the same thing back in august! my left eye is ok (just a tad near sighted) but my right eye is all sorts of screwy. oh well  also, your frames are cute

How do the under armours run size wise? Id like to order a pair. I got a pair of warners (super comfy) and a two pack of barely there (pretty comfy) at kohls, and two pair of hanky pankies, one with a wide band and one with a normal band (possibly my new favorites), at dillards. The wide band was not worth the extra dollar bucks. The regular hanky pankies rock, and hopefully I will still be singing their praises tomorrow after wearing them at work for 6 hours tomorrow.

It took FOREVER to find them. Finally found one table at dillards. If they are still comfy after work tomorrow I am going back to buy a three pack. My butt will be happy...my wallet will not.

Check online for sales. I never buy them full price :-)

If you keep them out the dryer, they'll last forever. I'm bad about that which is why I bought like 7 new pairs recently.

If you have it, use it. If not just make sure you put em in a laundry bag and just hang em up to dry.

I am going to be my cousin's maid of honor this summer. She doesn't care too much about my dress so long as it's floor-length and navy. David's Bridal dresses suck (not a blanket statement; I've looked at all the ones they have now and don't like them), but I am hoping to not spend a ton more than their price range on one (so like $100-150). Any recommended places to look?

And on a funny note: http://www.simplydresses.com/dresses/dress_by_event/military_ball

^^good deal

^that's so scary because of the different shades of navy....I would have just picked a designer and let them find the dress they like

But you should hit up a tux rental place that also sells bridesmaids dresses....I almost bought a dress from Savvy for the Jimmy V this year....it was a ball gown and was only $180 so I bet you can find a good gown for 100-150

http://www.savvincgowns.com/

I almost got this dress in black....I kinda still want it

If the wedding is more casual and summery , and if you wait a couple months the fantastically comfy cotton maxi dresses will be back in the stores. I am sure you could find one in navy.

I'm not stuck on $150 or anything, but I know long gowns can get pretty $$, and since she doesn't really care, I don't want to try to break the bank. I do need to check with her before I just go out and buy one, but she pretty much said she trusts me since she isn't too much of a girly girl to care about which dress we go with. I don't know if she has a particular shade of navy in mind, but I doubt it.

[Edited on January 7, 2012 at 8:59 PM. Reason : don't want to go cotton. I would love to get one I can wear to the Marine ball in November too]
