Milan got £59M for fucking Kaka and they can't even get a pitch that looks better than the rock infested mud field behind the fucking O'Reillys on South Saunders where the Mexicans play?

Have you ever noticed that when Barca don't win, there's always a series of excuses?

Of course it's an exaggeration but there is always truth to it. All three of the last teams to play there in Europe have bitched about it BEFORE kickoff. It certainly doesn't help possession teams.

[Edited on March 30, 2012 at 8:06 AM. Reason : ftr I'm tired of Barca. Much rather see Milan win]

I'm gonna side with barca on this one. the pic on goal.com or soccernet showed it all where messi was in a 50/50 with someone from Milan and there was more grass flying up in the air then there were players taking up the picture. I thought they might have just torn up the sideline for arsenal but barca play a more central game so that whole field is fucked

Contentious calls favoring Barcelona?

Color me surprised.

Congrats, Barca, two of your goals were on bullshit penalties, and Milan's second goal was discounted because of a bullshit handball call.

^^^ Valdes actually saved that chance and then everyone stopped playing before whoever it was put it in the back of the net. I missed the first half though.

It just pisses me off when I see Barcelona players go down so fucking quickly, roll around, wave their arms at the referee, and then get back up and carry on like they're fine. Oh... and then cry when they get fouls called on them. It's absolutely disgusting because they're good enough to win without resorting to those tactics. Every single one of them do it too so you know it's a coached tactic.

Players on other teams need to start picking up "injured" Barca players and then calling them out when they don't crumple back to the ground.

I bet I will not watch any of it because I do not like any of those teams nor do I hate any one more than the other so I don't need to pull against a certain team like I do with United.

is there really anyone out there betting against barcelona?

i guess if bayern are completely healthy then they may have a shot since its a one-off game. we all know real madrid cant handle them. they are miles behind in the mental department. i could see ribery and robben giving the barca defenders fits, especially if puyol has to play left back in the final.

i just want to see barca rip apart chelski now

nick, are you picking madrid cause you hate barca that much? yeah theyve got la liga wrapped up, but madrid cannot beat barcelona. its in their heads. if they do end up in the finals madrid will play physical, get a lot of cards, barca will dive, the refs will favor barca, and we will see another El Garbago game between these two. i dont want chelski to advance so i guess im pulling for a barca v bayern final.

I beg to differ. In the last CL semis Barcelona were having a lot of trouble with Madrid's constant pressure, and it might have been damned close if not for all the gamesmanship on Barca's part (such as you described.) But not only is there no guarantee that the ref in their next game will buy Barca's antics, but any ref will be much less likely to make questionable game-changing decisions (such as sending off a player on the basis of two soft yellows) in a Champions League final.

Plus, Madrid have gotten better since last year; their team has really gelled, it's greater than the sum of its parts now, rather than just a bunch of superstars who haven't yet learned to play together. And Barca are probably worse, on account of people like Puyol (and perhaps Xavi) getting old. It'd be a tough final to call, but I'd give Madrid even money at least.

^^ill believe madrid are better than barca when they actually beat barca regularly. theyve only beaten barca once in the last 14 matches between them in all competitions (with messi scoring 10 goals in those matches). and with the form messi is in he would more than likely score against them with whoever else may score..prob puyol, he scores in big games.

i could be proven wrong. hell if chelski got lucky and bayern play well, they could be in the finals. but i just dont see any proof yet that madrid can get by barca. madrid had their number early and mid 2000s but barca has their number currently. though, im fully expecting the 2012 champions league final to be a 2012 whine and dive festival

From what little I've seen through highlights and random games, I think I'd have to say Mexico is the best and Scotland is the worst.

[Edited on April 13, 2012 at 2:10 PM. Reason : no way MLS is better overall than Mexico]

Players dies on the field during an Italian Serie B game. I heard someone say this is the third player in a month to die on the field. What other leagues had this happen?

Ribery

After seeing a replay, that Bayern player was obstructing Casillas' view and was probably offside.
