I'm here OFF KAPLAN and while I haven't checked the road (which was salted heavily today anyway) I know that the cement back porch is covered in frozen shit.

The rain/sleet/snow is intermittent and alternating, far as I can tell. I'm reasonably surprised my 10:15 class is still on, but I can always ride the bus if necessary. If it gets worse or power goes out, I've got a day or two's worth of firewood, some canned food and MRE's, and extra vice products (ie, whiskey and cigarettes).

I'll be honest...I'm one of those types that enjoys a good storm-related power outage. Excuse to sit around fire? Excuse NOT to do homework? Sense of community that comes with trying to come up with non-cooked meals? I'm in.
