Did she ever get convicted of manslaughter or did she just get the DUI and walk?

Are you kidding me? what kind of insensitive jerk are you? Your user name certainly does describe you, doesn't it buddy? If you want to know about what happened to Danielle, you should really be a little more respectful. She was one of Duchess's best friends

How about "What happened to the girl who accidentally killed Duchess after a night out drinking?"

She would be more deserving of respect if she had called a cab prior to hitting the pole with a passenger in the car.

To be fair, nothing he said was really disrespectful. He could have been more tactful but it's a valid question.

I'm sure she feels horrendous guilt every day of her life but wondering if there were any legal ramifications for her bad decision is a very valid question. I'm rather interested as well just because it was a big story on here and I haven't seen any resolution to it as of yet...

^ You're totally right, I should have said tactful. I'm not condoning what she did or making excuses for her in any way - I was just horribly offended by the way he asked the question.

So is that telling me she is only up for possession and consumption by a minor?

V I don't even see a DUI charge on there unless I'm misunderstanding something..

I could be wrong, but they may be planning to find her guilty on all other charges first to strengthen the manslaughter or death by motor vehicle case.

I mean I was honestly wondering about this as well...

very, very, sad stuff... Makes me realize how lucky I have been and definitely has me seriously made me much more carefull about accepting when I shouldn't drive.

I am partly surprised that she isn't charged with Manslaughter, although having been in a wreck where I almost killed my passenger(non-alc related) I'm very glad that they just didn't automatically opt for it.

I apologize for not wording this more carefully. I was honestly just curious if any charges resulted from this or what not, I was not trying to re-create any drama. I knew Emily and she lived in UT with me on my floor my freshman year. I was not trying to be harsh, I was just looking for a straightforward answer.

I do feel very sorry for danielle. I can only imagine the depression and remorse she must be dealing with.

hmm... i wouldn't quite say nuts she did like to stir things up though

i didn't know danielle at all but i agree, it really sucks that society tries to ruin a second life after the tragic un intentional loss of a first

Sorry, it's kinda hard to be respectful to someone who is a complete moron and drives drunk and kills a friend....and last time I checked my best friends don't drive me into a pole and make a redlight camera crash down on me and kill me....but I dunno, maybe that's just me.

thats weird, i looked this up a while back and she was definitely charged with a felony count of involuntary/vehicular manslaughter and NO misdemeanors

thats really weird that it disappeared like that. i'd imagine it sucks to kill your friend, but they dont normally let you off for that reason. maybe she knew some big time dealers. basically the only way to get out of anything with a 10 year sentence - turn in someone whos gonna get 40.

Duchess still got in the car and i'm sure was every bit as intoxicated.

HITTING ANOTHER CAR AND SOMEONE DIEING IS KILLING THEM
Someone dieing in the drunk drivers car is as much their responsibility as it is the drivers.
imho.
