So i picked up assassins creed 2 this week. but this game is made for 1080p resolution or so it says on the box. But my ps3 always reverts back to 720p unless I manually go to the display settings and uncheck 720. Anyone have a clue why? I don't like doing this each time because then it causes problems displaying games that actually are 720.

Yes.

I'm pretty sure you just go into online versus and pick the same team??

I've played against multiple people who were on the same ps3 tons of times.

I'm not sure how you activate the other controller, it probably either just has to be on or has to press start or something.

nm, just watched the trailer. It just looks like a hodge podge of a bunch of recent FPS games likes Resistance 2, COD, and that one where the dude had kinetic powers.

I'm just going to let a friend of mine get it. He has a ps3 strictly as a multimedia server/player and never games. But he has a wii and hosts a lot of get togethers where we usually end up playing MK. I showed him the trailer for ModNation and he's going to pick it up.

just picked up blur and am having a lot of fun with it. its like need for speed + mario kart and has a pretty enjoyable multiplayer. has an achievement system like call of duty and you unlock new cars & parts to fix them up with.

I never understood this. What makes the 360's controller better? I have a PS3 and I don't have any complaints about the controller for shooters.

most people complain about the R2 trigger in comparison to the actual "trigger" on the xbox controller. its never bothered me, but then again i think the xbox controller feels like i'm holding a cantaloupe in my hands.

I have both a PS3 and a 360. I much prefer the 360 controller:

- As mentioned above, the R2 trigger on the PS3 feels awful compared to the 360 trigger.
- The 360 has better placement of the sticks on the controller (as in, the left analog stick is in a more comfortable position. the right analog stick is fine for both because that must be balanced between stick/buttons more)
- The PS3 analog sticks feel too loose/slippery to me. It's hard to describe, but the 360 sticks have more resistance and just feel more accurate.

I think the 360 controller just feels better in my hands as far as the shape goes, but that's getting into (more) personal nitpicky things.
The PS3 controller is lighter, which is a plus, but the sixaxis feature is useless and I prefer the 360's battery packs and stronger rumble.

^ Okay, so that $5 addon changes the terrible shape of the PS3 triggers, but that's only half the problem.

The spring/lever action of the trigger is the biggest problem I have with it. Like the analog sticks, it's hard to describe, but the way the spring resistance works on the triggers it makes them feel soft and cheap.

Not to mention I shouldn't have to buy another accessory to make a $50 controller feel right when I could just get another $35 xbox controller that works perfectly from the start.

Yeah, the Giotek triggers help a lot. Although they break off like legos when you throw you controller in anger

I believe a big part of this preference stems from the analog sticks being offset which provides a more comfortable and steady feel for the left stick on the 360 controller. In general, this gives the user a more natural placement of their thumb and therefore greater comfort.

That being said, I prefer the PS3 controller in absolutely every other instance.
