Buffalo would be a good fit for Philip. Not San Diego.

THE Buffalo Bills would be a better team for Philip to play for when he become a FA. They have a good defense and a burgeoning core of receivers.

adam and joe just said they'd take wilson over rivers. my brain just broke. wilson is good. hell, he won a super bowl, something phil will probably never do. but put wilson with post-LT san diego and he never sniffs the playoffs. it's like saying you'd take eli over phil. gtfo with that

I mean would he really have to move to LA? SD is a couple hours from LA. Worst case, move halfway in between or something. it's basically one giant santorum of suburban sprawl between LA and SD other than the small gap north of the Marine base.

he's got like 18 kids in school in san diego. i think he likes something stable. it's not easy for some single people to pick up and move to another city after a short period of time, let alone somebody with a big family who has been somewhere for over a decade. he might just retire though.

I know he has said he would retire before moving to LA, but what if they traded him to like Tenn? Would he move his whole family if that happened or is he basically planning to retire if they try to move him out of san diego?

Don't think it's moving that he's opposed to, it's just LA. Was watching some sports show on ESPN breaking it down and apparently a lot of the locals in SD are really anti-LA. I think he's probably just not a big fan of raising his kids in that city.

I think he'd be all on-board for the move to Tennessee given the HC and the closeness to the rest of his family in Alabama.

I can get that. LA is just an awful place. I guess this is his version of "You can't pay me enough to move to LA" and realistically speaking, he already has fuck you money.

"According to Bleacher Report's Jason Cole, Philip Rivers believes the Chargers are "not going to pay him."

In other words, Rivers forcing his way out of San Diego isn't just about relocation fears. Per Cole, the Chargers are "extraordinarily concerned" about Rivers' physical condition, as well, and will most likely package him in a deal for the Titans' No. 2 overall pick. Cole reports that Rivers would "love" to play out his career for the Titans and ex-Chargers OC Ken Whisenhunt. The smoke continues to build toward a Bolts/Titans blockbuster, but it doesn't yet appear inevitable. "

great idea, mccoy. have one of the best QB's in the league, and keep his pass attempts in the teens until the 4th quarter while you toss coins into the wishing well that the run game will take over

Funny that the two guys chasing him (Big Ben and Romo) in TDs both got hurt which should help Phil get some separation from them if he plays well the next 5-6 games. Wish Eli would get hurt. If Rivers hadn't lost his first two seasons behind Brees, he'd be way ahead of Eli, Roflisberger, Romo, Palmer, etc.
