His argument is not necessarily what the current chip is but more so that Apple is closing the entire development system into their complete control, not so much to burn Flash, but so that they can freely upgrade the hardware in the future with no trouble to the developers.

lol. Israel bans the iPad from being imported. Even tourists aren't allowed to bring them into the country because they say it may interfere with other wireless devices. Also, iPad owners must pay a daily 'storage fee' for customs to hold the device until the owner leaves the country with it or ships it back to the US at their own expense.
