Classes resume at 11am Wednesday

Classes at NC State University will resume at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28. The university will operate under the Adverse Weather Policy until 11 a.m.

At 11 a.m., normal operations will resume for all employees.

Does this mean classes are optional until 11am or that there are no classes before 11 and that classes are mandatory (so to speak) after 11?

The fact that the state is under a state of emergency, and we are told to stay off the roads, that has greater presidence than resuming classes at 11am. I don't know the legalities here, but when Ohio was under a state of emergency when I lived there, you could get a ticket for being out on the roads.

it is not completely their fault, if they cancel too many days of class people might start sueing the school for not providing all the education that was paid for. They aren't really intending everyone to go to class.

I have no problem going into work tomorrow, but I'm not particularly happy about having my night class. My once a week class doesn't get out until 9pm, so then I can go get killed in the pitch dark on black ice.

hmm i'm against it-- i have to travel 60 miles to get to raleigh in all ice b/c i'm in one of those "hard hit" areas. the entire block is a glacier. i promise u could ice skate out here.

I can't believe they didn't do what the did last year when it was bad, which was do the adverse weather policy for students, come if you can, but if you can't make it, you can't be penalized. Course my prof's would look to see who lived on campus and call bullshit....

Although I do think we *can* have classes tommorrow based on the roads I drove on tuesday, I still think there will be a few accidents or people busting their ass around campus..
I dont care, I dont have wednesday class this week since my professor said no class regardless of what the official university policy is.
