I think I do.

No job.

By choice or circumstance?

Sorry, I meant that having no job would be my ideal.[Edited on May 15, 2025 at 8:55 AM. Reason : By choice, I guess. I'd still do stuff, though.]

Actually, I didn't read the thread title carefully enough.I thought it was a hypothetical question about whether you had a dream job in your mind, not whether you actively had it.Oops!1. I have a job.2. It is not my dream job.3. I don't think I have an envisaged dream job at all, except to drop the stress of work and do what I want whilst still being productive.Happy for you, though, Snewf!]

Yes - ever since I left the job I took in 2009 I've been chasing to have my dream job back - finally found it again and it's working for the same CEO again.

My answer is surprisingly close to to Mr. Coz'sI had what was close to a dream job awhile back, but although it was a fun as heck job, it apparently wasn't a good business[Edited on May 15, 2025 at 11:29 AM. Reason : .]

My dream job would be as a part time video game streamer on a private stream only accessible to me with unlimited pto starting salary 1 billion a year plus benefitsDon't have it yet but working on it

^ similar to himI'd probably be a master mechanic, working on vehicles/machines for people around 20 hours per week to stay "busy".I would provide my mechanic services free of charge to customers, but someone needs to pay me 0.5 billion per year, and give me unlimited PTO and max benefits.

I feel like there isn't such a thing as a dream job, unless we're talking you literally had a dream about a job, and then afterwards decided to do that job maybe like an ideal job? like something you've thought about and would be like, this would be perfect! idk there are certain terminologies I don't like, and "dream job" is one of them, mainly because anything work-related is lame as sh*t, so automatically 99.99999% of people are never going to have a dream job. so really the dream is moot for that many people and that is quantifiably correct - you don't even need to check yeah, it's a dumb thing to take issue with, but I'm on the internet, so you have to deal with my residual mental deficiencies and generally uninformed ramblings also, too many words have more than 2 definitions, which I think is silly :3 and "dream" is one of those. it's time to put an end to words with multiple definitions.. who's with me?!?! Japan and China are already on board.. well except both of their languages also have symbols/words with multiple meaningsyou know what, fuck it, I'm inventing my own language sikethis has been an unnecessarily long BB post

ok fine, as it turns out, "dream" basically only has 2 major definitions. (2 for each part of speech, that is) so I'll let it slideyou guys had better watch out with your figurative secondary definitions though; I know where you live [Edited on May 15, 2025 at 3:35 PM. Reason : ]

let me clarify this further: a "dream job" is generally considered to be one that aligns with someone's passions, interests, and valuesconnects pretty closely to the Japanese concept of "ikigai" based on the responses here, I'm going to assume that the majority answer is "No"

Looks like "posting clear images" isn't in your yellow circle!!! #Burn #Roasted

I'm annoyed that the final "i" in ikigai is located outside the overlap zone of all 4 circles.

I recently became a process engineer at after nearly 20 years in another dept (asst manager), same workplace. I get to design and implement things to make things run more efficiently. I like that a lot. I was already doing it to an extent (mainly out of enjoyment), but the people issues get really frustrating, especially being right smack in the middle of C on a DiSC chart.
