I think I tore something in my right rotator cuff about 3 months ago. Either that, or shoulder impingement. I haven't been to see anyone about it yet. Only hurts with certain specific movements. Trying to rehab it with physical therapy, but we'll see. So far, not really activity limiting in any practical sense. Don't know how I did it. I think sleeping!

^^ nah it's persistent, low-grade pain since my vasectomy last year

urologist says it's epididymitis but that's a symptom and not a cause - gonna start another round of antibiotics and see what happens but if that doesn't work I'm doing physical therapy

they gave me this completely wild ketamine cream to use, though

What would physical therapy for this malady involve?

lol, i have the same thing going on. from everything i've read, it sounds more like an impingement than rotator cuff. Doesn't hurt when doing athletic movements, which is the weird thing.

I don't have a clue what PT for ball pain is like. Probably pelvic floor exercises?

The worst is when its like a rib cage muscle. I can’t even figure out what all body positions aggrevate it

The aggregation of all positions is the worst.

I rolled a UTV over Thanksgiving last year and then I got covid. Muscles in the rib cage can go to hell.

had both colonoscopy and an ultrasound done and everything was clear

It also really sucks having to watch the spicy food due to indigestion/acid reflux.

Every other week I nearly pull or strain a muscle around my rib cage. It probably comes from hunching over a desk for 8 hours a day/not stretching enough/being old.

Yoga. For a few years I had massive trouble sleeping bc I would wake up with my back killing me, couldn't get comfortable. I had always sworn I wouldn't do yoga, prob for toxic masculinity related reassons, but I had to try something. Once I'd been doing yoga for awhile I could sleep again. Every now and then I'll wake up wiht a stiff back but it's much much better.

Man, maybe you're right. I used to do a ton of yoga, but slacked off on it after kid number 2.

I still do it, but nowhere near as often. Maybe it's time to kick it up a notch and see if that helps.

A lot of lower back pain is due to lack/imbalance of strength and flexibility in the abs, lower back, and hips.

Any exercise regimen (yoga, Pilates, calisthenics, etc) that addresses said issues will of course help. Plus, also make sure to maintain proper posture during daily life activities.

[Edited on August 16, 2023 at 9:40 AM. Reason : Plus daily stretching of all major muscles in the body when you wake up and before you sleep.]

nice, that's good news

my ultrasound showed an inflamed liver so I went on a drinking hiatus
eventually it got better

I'm on another hiatus right now, actually

there's this Chinese "liver cooling" tea I was drinking back then
