taking more pills doesn't seem like the most obvious solution

The obvious solution is to not get addicted to opioids

Colase is your friend

Or like, prescribe a non-opioid pain killer that's not ridiculously addictive
1/19/2017 2:12:18 PM
such as?

Most drugs that actually do something are habit-forming to some segment that takes it. All them people out there with cirrhosis from fucking Tylenol can demonstrate that.[Edited on January 19, 2017 at 2:41 PM. Reason : Chronic pain is the issue, not physical withdrawal avoidance]

this isn't even for painOP pls :3

This needs the pics from the "It was a nice day, when suddenly...." someone go bring that thread back.
1/19/2017 9:52:04 PM
Yup. Just take some Colace.
1/19/2017 10:29:42 PM
opium and booze are just about the only things that actually work as pain killers. I mean yeah aspirin with caffeine is dynamite for headaches, but that's not a normal pain receptor response cycle.Numbing agents or surgeries that kill nerve pathways exist. But tylenol.. it's pretty much a fake drug and kills more livers than pain. But yeah. Colace and if you're REALLY clogged, prune juice with warm milk of magnesia. Beware and be close to the toilet
1/21/2017 12:21:18 AM
tylenol is a fantastic fever reducer

Alcohol is way up there in addictive substances but is legal with age while opoids require a medical prescription to legally consume. Why?
2/18/2017 2:07:51 PM
I'm gonna make a serious post in this thread. When I had my appendix out they gave me stool softener to help me poop better. Well here I am, 4 months later, and I'm STILL constipated all the time. It's driving me insane. I mean I stopped taking the pain medicine probably two days after I got home, but my innards are still all screwed up.
2/18/2017 2:11:50 PM
Because the national capital is on the east coast and east coast business we're bigger into alcohol than marijuana and pharmaceuticals ^^^ serious response. Constipation, especially severe constipation can stretch the bowel and impair nervous activity in the gut. I.E. the stretched bowel will eventually stop registering the need to poop. It takes months for the bowel to repair these connections and receptors. It's really important to take your stool softeners and motility agents or ear your Metamucil everyday or you can stay constipated for a long time until your body repairs your normal reflexes ]
2/18/2017 2:16:00 PM
Well shit...I'm going to the doctor on Monday, I'll ask her to prescribe me more softener. I'm all out!
2/18/2017 2:22:23 PM
to be fair, you don't really need prescription softener. if you came to see me I'd just tell you to get OTC colace, but I think it's a good idea to talk to your doctor to see if there's anything they want to do about it imaging wise (I doubt it)

You all are supposed to own latex gloves. You are supposed to use whatever you can to combat your problem. If you can't figure your own shit out, it's on you.None of you understand anything. You all fucking suck.[Edited on February 18, 2017 at 8:59 PM. Reason : ]

shit, is this really a thing?I've been taking like 1/2 a mg of klonopin here and there to try to help sleepno wait, that's a benzo... are those the same?*does not feel like consulting with the rest of the internet at this time*
12/22/2025 10:24:55 PM
Forgive the question marks, copying and pasting from senor GPTNo — benzodiazepines (“benzos”) and opiates are not the same, though people often group them together because both affect the central nervous system and are commonly prescribed (and misused).Benzodiazepines (benzos)What they do: • Reduce anxiety • Promote sleep • Relax muscles • Stop seizuresHow they work: • Enhance the effect of GABA, a calming neurotransmitterCommon examples: • Xanax (alprazolam) • Ativan (lorazepam) • Valium (diazepam) • Klonopin (clonazepam)Risks: • Dependence and withdrawal • Sedation, memory issues • Dangerous when combined with alcohol or opioids?Opiates / OpioidsWhat they do: • Relieve pain • Cause euphoria • Suppress cough (some)How they work: • Bind to opioid receptors in the brain and spinal cordCommon examples: • Morphine (true opiate) • Heroin (illegal opiate) • Oxycodone (opioid) • Hydrocodone (opioid) • Fentanyl (synthetic opioid)Risks: • High addiction potential • Respiratory depression • Overdose risk? Why they’re often mentioned together • Both are depressants • Combining them greatly increases overdose risk, especially from slowed or stopped breathing • Many overdose deaths involve both classes taken together?Quick comparisonFeature Benzos Opiates / OpioidsPrimary use Anxiety, sleep, seizures Pain reliefMain risk Dependence, withdrawal Overdose, addictionAct on GABA receptors Opioid receptorsPain relief ? ?If you’re asking in the context of medications, safety, or interactions, feel free to share more context and I can tailor the answer.

shit. so I try to just use klonopin sparingly, but if it's contributing to memory issues at all I feel like I shouldn't take it but I have to take somethingI'm a god damn nut case lately and I'm trying to use THC products lessit's not going well, BTW
