everyone must have been scared. hardly no one on the beach.

I haven't seen Sawahash since the hurricane took out the pier at the Sheraton. What was the name of that bar again? Molly's or something like that 6/27/2016 9:59:41 PM |
sawahash All American 35321 Posts user info edit post |
Yeah Molly's. That place sucks now. They charge $5 for a bud light. Ever since the hurricane destroyed the building and the Hilton took over they are only wanting tourists to come. They don't want the locals to come. The food sucks and the beer is over priced.
Lets not forget about this video from Hurricane Earl.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNS5V5SmtWQ 6/28/2016 8:33:14 AM |

Atlantic Beach has the Atlantic Beach Beach Music Festival and the Crystal Coast Music Festival. The former is a beach music thing, the latter is not.

that hurricane video is the most sad thing I've seen in a long time. a great sense of irony that the person in that video is passing judgement on anyone's behavior.
i mean, fuck, it's basically one of those things that once seen can't be unseen. I can't get it out of my head in such a bad bad way.

leaving for Wilmington tonight. Traffic-wise, would it be better to leave at 6:30 (earliest all of us have off) or get dinner in Raleigh and wait until 8:30-9?
like, would waiting until that late save us much driving time? 7/1/2016 10:54:30 AM |
sawahash All American 35321 Posts user info edit post |
I would wait...I know how it is here...earlier today traffic was backed up all the way to Kurtis Chevy...if you're familiar with Carteret County you would know how bad it is....
In Wilmington I can only imagine that it is much much worse! 7/1/2016 8:18:56 PM |

^^are you talking distance, or how long you've lived here.
Distance, I would say you are a local if you live in the county.
How long you've lived here...I wouldn't consider you a local if you owned a place here, but this wasn't your permanent location. I think if you've lived here long enough to not freak out over a Cat 1 or 2 hurricane when it comes, then you can be considered a local. 2/19/2017 12:57:34 PM |

I like Ruddy Duck, Off the Hook, Sammy's and Tightlines. I still haven't tried Southern Salt, but I've heard good thing about them. It's actually been a while since I've eaten at the waterfront. We're trying to save some monies so we aren't going out to eat as often. 3/19/2017 9:27:26 PM |
