I was 10 years old and preparing to have a 2nd surgery to straighten my arm from where I broke it when I was 3. Little did I know at the time that I would have to have a 3rd surgery the same year because one of my screws would come loose while it was in the cast .

[Insert screw loose joke here]

6th grading it or running wild around the neighborhood. I feel like around that time our school schedule was set up so we were done by Memorial Day, so I'm going to guess that exactly 20 years ago I was playing Super Nintendo NHL 94.

I was playing Road Rash II on my genesis and drinking soda and generally being a goon during summer break between 2nd and 3rd grade. At least I think it was summer break by this point.

Grade 8.
In that year, China imported 10 films from Hollywood. They were like 10 nuclear bombs dropping at the local movie market and the industry started booming.
The films are:
Fugitive
Rumble in the Bronx
Forrest Gump
True Lie
Lion King
The Speed
...... Can't remember all of them but they are REALLY good

If someone made a "30 Years Ago Today" thread now, this would be my response:

Quote :
"I was playing Road Rash II on my genesis and drinking soda and generally being a goon during summer break between 2nd and 3rd grade."

Damn I am old .

Thankfully, I still look like I looked 10-15 years ago (my friends say that), mentally feel like I felt 7-10 years ago, and physically feel like I felt 5-7 years ago .

Studied for a year in med school in Turkey (10/94 - 7/95), but did not like it, so around this time, I started sending letters to US universities to send me their prospectuses and applications. I sent letters to about 80-85 schools, which led to a stack of prospectuses 3-4 feet high. Applied to 16 schools, all through mail. Sending completed application packets cost me $160 in postage.
