Man, Kanye has been pissing me off for quite a while now. I think his support of Trump did me in though. I didn't even listen to his last album.

I think he meant well with trump though tbh. It’s sort of true that the democrats tend to string black voters along in their specific issues and throw them scraps. If trump was willing to play ball on an issue for even a superficial appeal, it still was progress— better to be stabbed in the front than the back. It is a good thing To remind democrats leaders that black voter allegiance can change.

And he hasn’t really been pushing trump that hard since that I’ve seen. Im not educated enough on the kardahsian/Jenner issues though.

Also the graduation/late registration era of Kanye really was musical genius.

I don't get it. The attacks on the black community at the hands of Trump were deliberately obvious and substantial. Kanye still lended him his support for what seem like personal favors...certainly nothing that benefits the community as a whole or even in part.

I'm not going to get into the political motivations of the black community regarding Democrats, mainly because I don't feel as if any individual can speak for an entire community. What I will say is that I don't encounter many black people who are disallusioned enough to believe Democrats necessarily have their best interest at heart. I run into plenty black folk that see the republican party engaging in active suppression/harm to the community.
