Figured I'd ask a couple questions in this thread since there might be people interested in giving some outside input to my wife and I.

We are getting a new sofa and chair to replace the existing sofa and loveseat currently in our living room. We have already picked out the sofa 100% and are about 95% sure on the fabric that it will be upholstered in. The sofa we are getting is this:




We are most likely getting it upholstered in:

I know fabric samples don't always show well online but it's a medium grey with a little bit of brown woven into it.

1) We can't decide between the chair that is from the same set (pictured above with the sofa) or going with a chair that is slightly similar in style to the sofa but not identical. Something like the chair from this set:



I think part of the indecision here is that we're both not always a fan of matchy-matchy stuff; however, I will admit that usually I don't like matchy-matchy sets from a place like rooms to go largely because the aesthetic design isn't very good to begin with. I really love both the chair and the sofa and I guess I can't decide to go with both or not simply due to the aversion to a matching set.

2) If we did go with the chair from the same set, what do you think about going with a different fabric to break up the matchiness? Something still in the grey family, but lighter and with a different texture. This perhaps:



These will be going in our main living area which will have very light grey as the neutral paint color.

yea, I just make sure all of that is turned off. If someone wants to see something on my boards they'll just go straight to my board. Spamming facebook with updates from internal apps or external site updates is always annoying.
