There is usually always a demand for a physical item. For everything to move to digital, not only would those industries have to radically change but so would much of the ISP infrastructure. When 'Highspeed' internet still refers to DSL speeds much of the country is not physically set up for what you're suggesting.

Not that I would mind if it did move that way.
