My current and very old HTC mogul PPC 6700 is on it's last dying breath.I'm still on the old SERO 1250 FF plan. I have not being able to keep up with all these Sprint plan changes and phones they have been rolling out so I need some desperate help real soon in deciding what new phone to get. I used to like the Touch Pro 2, then the Evo came out, and I've not kept up since. What phone still works with SERO or do I need to upgrade to some new Sprint plan?I'm looking to make a change in the next 7 days. Thanks![Edited on January 21, 2011 at 12:10 PM. if there was only some place you could go to with people who are knowledgeable about Sprint phones and their service plans... what if???http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=sprint+stores+raleigh+nc&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8#q=sprint+stores+raleigh+nc&hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&prmd=ivnscm&source=univ&tbs=plcs:1&tbo=u&ei=yMQ5TZO8JcP98AbMw7W4Cg&sa=X&oi=local_group&ct=more-results&resnum=2&ved=0CEoQtwMwAQ&fp=27b4c446e8d8a5a3

ummm no, i'm not going to a Sprint Store just to have them upsell me and get me to move off my SERO plan to some higher priced plan. You really think they'll have my best interest? No, they are sales people.

I'd suggest you seek the help from a sprint representative, whose job it is to provide customers with all the knowledge necessary to find the right phone/plan for them.

If you can split the family share plan with someone, 2 lines + EVO and insurance will run you about $65/line if you get the 25% Cox discount applied. That's what I did when I switched to the Evo anyway.http://archive.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=0&t=774875

the TP2 is the only newer smart phone you can use with SERO without the upcharge. the EVO will cost an extra $20/month if you want to get it.

^basically.i have the TP2 on the F&F500 plan.. i'll eventually move on to the Evo or Shift, but for now its nice having only a $30 a month cellphone bill

yeah i have a F&F1250 plan for $40 monthly even though now I never use even that many minutes. I'm thinking of combining it with my fiancee's plan who also pays around $40/month for 700 mins.Still researching the best route.....

^^ or ^If you change plans call/PM/email/something. I'm interested in taking over at least one more SERO plan and maybe 2. I want to add a business phone via SERO.

LivinProof78 has a samsung epic on sero and just had to pay a $10/month increase to the "blackberry" plan

Yeah, I seem to recall shortly after dumping my SERO plan reading something about most phones being 'unlocked' per say with a simple 10.00 buy-up.IMO this is only worth persuing if you have the FF500 -- because if you have a S.O. or relative, the plan I linked is arguably better than the standard FF1250. You basically pay the same price per line but gain all the premium features of the Everything plans.

I have an epic 4g and my total bill is now 50. Actually just under 50 for some reason.I was on the 30 dollar SERO plan. They move you up to the 40 plan, then added the 10 for 4g phone.

I'd wait for the iphone to come out on sprint.
1/25/2011 11:35:23 AM
Yeah, you're not supposed to move to the Everything Plus referral plan. Some of these values are probably incorrect as they're 250+ days old and were loosely put together back then.

In my case it would seem better to keep our plans separate than to combine them?Keeping Separate- my SERO 1250 ($40)- my fiancee regular FF450 ($44)Total: $84Together with ED1500 w/25%, no TEP = $113.So less minutes combined but $30 more.Am I following this right?

Well, it only comes into play when you start throwing all kinds of addons and buyups into the mix in order to get the phone you want activated. I almost added the stipulation in for a discounted FF1250 plan but didn't think it was necessary. It should be obvious that nothing will ever touch that plan and I guess you should just hope to ride it out as long as possible. In my case I was paying close to 60 after taxes for FF1250 so I was happy to make the jump. Just get a TP2 before 1/31 and keep the plan until you die or sell it on CL/Ebay. Any other phone's additional data/buyup fees will send you back to the drawing board re: cost. You could call account services and ask what they would be willing to do to get you off that plan. Some people were successful in getting a 10 or 20 credit for 12/24 months iirc.

thanks for the suggestion....what is the importance of the 1/31 date?
