Her mask is kind of curved... and I can't cut it, it would ruin the mask

She just had a purple plaid skirt. I'm missing the pink belt because it's in transit

I hate Halloween, but I'm obligated to go to a party so I think I'm going to rock the old Jim Halpert "pick a random name, name tag" costume... so lame.

^How can you hate Halloween?

I actually love it and my closet is too full to store my costumes in, so I have them sitting on the floor next to my bed. Everyday when I wake up I see them, year round.

I work at a pre-school and I have to wear something to take the kids trick or treating, so I'm doing Velma this year. I should try to find a Scooby Doo treat bucket to make my red skirt, orange turtleneck more obvious.

Probably, not to mention that slutty costumes aren't warm enough.

no wig suggestions? :\

I'm wondering if putting my iron on low heat then putting a pillow sheet over the wig and ironing it would cause it to melt

do not iron your wig. it is made of plastic basically.

horrible horrible idea.

that's why I didn't know if I wanted to really try with the pillowcase and super low setting

the hot water method seems to be the best but it seems complicated if you don't have a freaking wig head and stand, or random thermometer for boiling water

go to a hair store. preferably one that black women go to. preferably one owned by a chinese woman. You will find a purple wig. it should be able to withstand a weak curling iron.

trust me. I'm a son of a hair designer.

I decided to take my chances and just blowdry it (forever) on the warm setting.... I am quite impressed with myself. (I also recut it)

INCOMING PHOTOSHOOT

(for some reason my computer really does not want to pick up the real color purple that it is... it's almost the exact dark purple in the movie)

I am putting way too much time/effort into my Inspector Gadget costume.

And there isn't anything really expensive in it, but all the cheap parts I'm getting are starting to add up.

But it will be amazing. Gadgets, people. Gadgets.

And I'm going to tell everyone that I'm supposed to be Robocop.

That's awesome

but you better have helicopter blades coming out of your hat

Helicopter blades are too easy and overdone.

I'm going to have two arms coming out of my hat, one holding a police badge and the other a magnifying glass. The hat will also have a red rotating police light on it.

Then, for my real hands:
- Working Gadgetphone
- Finger flashlight

And possibly:
- Handcuffs from the sleeve
- Bottle opener (somewhere, not sure yet)
- Rollerskates (or rollerblades if I can't find skates)

Over the past three weeks I've been to 11 thrift stores, I finally found the perfect trench coat at the last one. I'll post pics once I'm done constructing/painting everything.

Just have a dildo hanging out of your pants and consistently take pictures of it all night with your cell phone. You could also make it a duo costume and have a friend wear a jersey of some defensive back and just throw him the football all night long.

so our group gilligans island costume idea fell through because the girls decided they wanted to do something else, not even together . We had the perfect number and all. so it's back to square 1 again.
