why so defensive? i want someone to prove me wrong. my opinion of her italianness would change if someone put up proof that she grew up there and could speak fluently. i am able to admit my mistakes.

i was watching with a family of REAL italians who picked her apart. so i was italian by association.

and YES i spent a year in italy so I am able to discern accents.

I just really hate rachel ray. And since I like the food network so much, I had to counteract that hatred with someone else, so I appreciate Giada.

btw, I'm sure your year of being in italy beats her family all being from italy. you definitely know more than she does

to her credit, her personality seems a lot more genuine than giada's.

giada has horrible stage fright. she takes meds to be able to handle speaking in front of groups and whatnot.

She always says it's a family member's recipe (when it's probably just the ACTUAL chefs behind the scenes). I've heard her say so many different family member's names that it would be easy to assume she has 9 grandmothers and 14 great aunts
