So I ordered something and accidentally left the state as its default (alabama) but the rest of my address is correct (city, zip code, etc). The site doesn't provide tracking numbers so I can't check on it. Would my package still make it on time?

doubtful it'll make it on time but shouldn't be too delayed

probably worth calling them in case it does go back to them as undeliverable

It most likely depends on who it's being shipped with. USPS (for me) usually preferred the zip code then state, but carriers like UPS prefer the state first. The logic is that if you get it into a state it's getting....

haha, I'm totally BS'ing. I'm sure it will probably make it, but probably not in the exact time you want it to. If it was shipped UPS or FedEx they have a computer that cross-checks addresses and fixes things like this as soon as they make it to the shipping center. USPS, however, I have no idea.

that's a load of shit. i used to load trucks at UPS and we were told to go by the zip code.

of course it is a LOT easier to look for city/state, so that's what most people would do.

the post office and UPS reads addresses starting at the zip code and working backwards. so you should be OK

We had a Christmas card come back from the post office as they said it was an invalid address

State and zip code were both correct, but it said Charlotte instead of Matthews

so basically, don't count on the package getting to you

We had a card come one time that just had our family name and a stamp on it. It reached without problem.

This was all within the same city though (clayton).
