It got scrapped to use its money to upgrade the rest of the fleet. Cheaper to upgrade the Kiowa and squeeze more service years out of it than to field $texas comanches that are too armed to be a scout, but not armed enough to be gunships, and perform a mission that is already covered by two aircraft (kiowa and apache). But systems and tech developed for the comanche are used on the other platofrms (58, 64, 60 AND 47) so we did get something out of the deal.

not necessarily- in austrailia, it is standard right side drive, but they say on their website that they exported to all continents (except for antartica) in both left and right side drive. I can easily see some Serviceman buying one of these while stationed overseas somewhere... haha if I were looking at the pontiac, and had the option of the holden, I would go for it!

*Note: there were people in both front seats, so I can't tell by the picture, and I don't remember this detail explicitly... I'd really like to think I saw a true holden, but even if it is a convert, I'll still appreciate it (same way I do type R integra and silvia JDM conversions)

because it is something different... if I were stationed in europe or asia and had the option to buy something that I couldn't get in the US, I would- and when you're stationed over seas, it is my understanding that you can have a vehicle shipped back over if you like, taken care of by the military (same way they move you from one base to another)

If anything you may have seen a tester for the new chevy thats coming out and they're using holden body parts on the mule.

yeah, I was looking at JDM silvia's when I was a senior in highschool... I was amazed how cheap they were, but they ship them to california and then have to have a shit ton of stuff done there (and then I would have had to drive it back cross country)

I ended up buying an integra instead, which I promptly totaled 1.5 years later
