Honestly we're probably going out in the first round of the ACC Tournament

There's a decent chance, though, that we could win our first game and there's the near-impossible chance that we could make it to the championship game (we've done it with worse teams). That being the case, there's no reason not to discuss such scenarios -- albeit with the understanding that it's highly unlikely.

No one thinks we have better than 1:500 odds of winning the tournament, no one thinks we have a good shot at making noise in the postseason. Your act of trying to turn fans' optimism into delusional well-wishing is getting old.

We get it, you paid your $5 to shit all over Sid, all over the program, all over us, and NyM is such a fucking pussy that he won't do anything about it.

Let me break it down for you real quick.

The main difference is that there's a 99.9% chance we'll be having a coaching search and a 0% percent chance we'll be winning the ACC tournament. So about 99.9 percentage point difference.

All I know is that our last 3 games are winnable and we easily could be 7-9 going into the ACCT. There might be a lot of confidence, and it's a whole hell of a lot more fun talking about the possibility of doing something unique and fun than it is talking about the realistic possibility of having to find a new coach and keeping our players at state.

If NC State were living next to Virginia and Virginia Tech, there would still be pressure to win and eventually be as good as UNC and Duke. The bigger priority is to just be better then the guy right next door. “Just beat the rival,” fans say. Well, it is pretty hard to beat your rival when 95 percent of the country can’t beat them. Now this doesn’t mean that State can’t get there and be as good as or better then the “blue painted palaces,” but Duke didn’t happen overnight, which leads to No. 2. 2. They just don’t let you build ‘em like they used to. Take a look at Mike Krzyzewski and Dean Smith’s records after three years. If they started coaching at Duke and Carolina today, they might have just been footnotes in the back of media guides. The Pack was gutted after probation in the early 1990s, and the architects did not do much to keep the program from falling apart. Self-imposed sanctions led to the Pack basketball team falling into a rut. Coaches in the 70s and 80s were given time to put their team in place; there wasn’t a five-year mandate to win (or else). 3.
