Wait until she has a bond reduction hearing and then bail her out. Its a frickin weekday, she will probably have court if not tomorrow morning, Wednesday and get the bond reduced to where you can pay cash and not have to hurt doing it.

I had a friend who was madly in love with a woman, we'll call her Sarah Elizabeth. She, twice, attempted to get a car loan under his name saying she was engaged. Mind you, this was her 3rd or 4th attempt at credit fraud. Now, both times she tried with him, he said no . . . but this was back in 2003 when dealerships were desperate to move any car they could any way they could and let her drive a brand new Jeep Wrangler off the lot with no downpayment, no job, bad credit, and only the promise that she'd get a cosigner on the loan. She drove up from San Marcos, Texas to Fort Sill, Oklahoma where we were and proceeded to blow the rest of her $$ on lap dances and alcohol in a week. We finally kicked her out and told her to get a job. We lost touch with her for another month until she called him from the Dallas pokey where she was being held on $5000 bond for driving a stolen vehicle 30 miles over the posted speed limit. Not even her parents would bail her out.

On the up shot, her mom sold my buddy the Jeep at a hella discount.

So, yeah, sure do it.

There are only a handful of people that I would bail out of jail. Most of them are blood. I don't refer to any of them as "crazy bitch" on the internet.

I would bail out anyone who I cant count on for the money, and maybe a select few that I could not count on for the money but may still be worth it.

The exception would be if they had already been arrested multiple times for the same behavior. A point in time comes where a person needs to take some responsibility for staying out of trouble.

what you should do is see if you can get a pool of money with your other mutual friends and possibly see if she has any family that can help you out

is she a flight risk? cause if not, then you will more than likely get the money back in a couple of months

but if she wants more like you said, you might be sending the wrong signals (not to mention she is in there for assault )

^^I don't think that it's any kind of plan at all to do this. Self-sacrifice when nobody truly comes out ahead (least of all you obviously) is just plain dumb.

1. Leading her on.
2. Allowing her to escape responsibility and recourse for her actions.
3. Tying up your beer-drinking, man-whoring money for an undisclosed amount of time and risking losing it all.
4. The mental anguish of being involved in a bunch of totally unnecessary drama.
