Part of me wants to believe that he was sabotaged. He was quoted as saying he thought the race was over and that he lost first place for good. So if he thought he has lost it for sure why take the drugs? BUT if he was so sure he lost it already why go balls to the wall and try to win the stage?
8/5/2006 11:23:53 AM
Cycling is boring no matter how many 'roids he pumps into his body. Maybe now he'll learn.

^ Don't forget, they set up Bonds too. Buncha non-baseball loving racists.
8/5/2006 2:10:36 PM
ah i think there was a little too much VISUAL proof in Bonds to make that statement
8/5/2006 2:30:54 PM
lets think about something....landis was tested regularly thoughout the race, all came back completely cleanthen after the race is over, he test first 4:1 and then 11:1 for testosteroneyall might want to look into what testosterone doping requires. it takes multiple weeks of building up, small amounts at a time, to get to a testosterone level that high.keep in mind that the testing agency is french based and is completely closed to outside scrutinynow im not sayin there is a french-based conspiracy or any garbage like that, rather, it is just ridiculous that the media, espn, etc are condemning him without understanding the background of testosterone dopingyea....makes complete sense to think that he is completely guilty

because you would know moreso than an anti-doping organization[Edited on August 6, 2006 at 11:15 AM. Reason : j]
8/6/2006 11:15:30 AM
he took the drugs cause he thought the race was over, and he would have nothing to loose.....oh well, sucks for him....
8/6/2006 12:31:42 PM
^^anti-doping agency doesnt look use logic, they use test results
8/6/2006 7:13:14 PM
8/6/2006 7:47:25 PM
but would doping one day do anything?
8/7/2006 9:52:40 AM
8/7/2006 9:54:33 AM
it doesn't matter if one day would have an affect or not. no one is questioning whether his choice to violate a drug test put him at an advantage. if he was blood doping with blood he collected 2 months prior to the race while he also just so happened to be taking testosterone, then it could have had a dramatic impact on his racing performance. Blood doping is a very effective means of gaining a competitive advantage, and maybe he didn't have the medical comprehension or forethought to realize that his doped blood would contain synthetic testosterone in it at levels that would botch up his epitestosterone production.
