Both teams (bball and fball) ranked #2 in the nation...

Alas, I am a State fan... yet I still love my team

how is their basketball team overated. other than duke who is better? they could actually argue to be nearly as good as duke. they have the best pg in the nation, pj tucker, aldridge bookout (best front line in teh country?) and a ton of roll players

Being from Texas also i question my coming to NC State at this time when Chuck has a fairly weak program. However, Herb is atleast consistant I hope this season. But, Texas is sick as hell this year in football and all my friends up there just shake their heads at me for not being up at UT and the bball team will undoubtedly be in the top 10 which i doubt NC State will be able to pull off.

i didn't realize people dropped 30+ g's to claim allegiance to a sports program.

i could have sworn the price was for different reasons.

if the performance of a sports team is making you question what college you're attending then you have some seriously bigger problems than a won/loss record...

You chose NC State over Texas?

Brilliant. Texas has more girls in one classroom than NC State's entire campus.

Every time I see those girls, I just wanna grab them by the hair one by one, put on some tennis shoes for better traction and try to put them through the wall doggy style.

I am not seeing how kevin bookout is one of the elite players in the country. That is a ridiculous statement. I third the statement that it is very homo to chose your school based on athletics.

Tradition speaks for a lot.

I love the fact that I can walk into Reynolds and say, "David Thompson, Tom Burleson, and Monty Towe played a national championship game on this floor."

I love the fact that I can walk into the ESA, look up, and see all of our championship banners and the jerseys from players who changed the game and made our teams great.

I love the fact that State played in, and won, two of the all-time greatest games ever seen in college basketball ('74 ACC tourney game against Maryland, and the '83 NCAA title game).

I love the fact that it was State that basically brought big-time basketball to North Carolina via Everett Case (cutting down the nets, fast-paced play, the Dixie Classic, the string of Southern Conference and ACC titles, and so on).

And now, despite the trials of the Les Robinson era, we have a talented, disciplined team that I can be proud of, and I have plenty of hope for success in the future.

geez it was 4 am . of course i meant buckman, role players and dont forget pj tucker as the main part of the front line. daniel gibson is possibly the best pg in the country, and they have george bush on their side so nothing bad will ever happen to them.
