"my entire point is that the number of good plays is about equal, STone doesn't bring a better game to the table that gives us a new edge over our opponents

putting Stone in doesn't help us anymore than having Davis in

but everybody seemed to think it did

but it hasn't
"

When did I say that???? When???? Point it out to me you fucking retard. You've been saying this same shit now for 2 weeks and its FUCKING OLD. Not once did I say that Stone is a better quarterback. Not once did I say we have a better chance to win with Stone in. Not once did I ever say it was Jay Davis's fault that we were losing. You are a god damn idiot...and at this point, just a fucking troll...there is no way you can possibly believe the shit you type in this forum. All I wanted to prove to you is that there is NO REASON TO PLAY JAY OVER STONE ANYMORE. You're arguing they both suck...I'm arguing they both suck. The only reason you want Jay Davis to play is because you dont like Stones "style", so you have to come on here and be a bitch about it because you're graduating next year. Well guess what, if you really cared that much you wouldnt turn your back on the program just because your graduating. You're not a real fan, your a fucking idiot, a troll, and you need to go shoot yourself in order to please everyone else on this website.

Your anti-stone bullshit has gone on long enough. We all know he sucks, but nobody thinks that we should play Davis anymore...oh yeah...cause the rest of the fans...that dont associate with your type...have to deal with another QB issue next year. Now leave us all alone and go fuck yourself.

i don't see you name in that post

anywhere

"everybody" implies the general majority of people with Marcus Stone bias

the qb switch has gained us nothing

if anything it's given false hope to fans and actually taken us a step backward

we're right back to last season, in a sense, because of the change in command

if we get to a bowl, i'd as glad as anyone, and if Stone "gets" us to a bowl then he deserves mad props

but i don't think we can do it under Stone

we might have been able to under davis

we might have had a better BC game

we might have had an even better FSU game and a better USM game

I'm not feeling the Stone vibe

he hasn't impressed me enough to the point where i think he should be starting or that he should be taking over the team as quarterback

he's only in there because it doesn't matter who's in there and chuck just wants the fans to like him

Chuck knows the qb position doesn't matter in his offense anymore, that's why stone's in

but that shouldn't be the reason Stone's in

Stone should prove that he should be the starter just like Davis proved it in the spring

if Stone proves to be better than Davis then he should start

but he hasn't proven that, he's just proven he's capable of being a qb, same as Jay

I think the BC game made it fairly obvious that the QB does in fact matter and is crucial when facing a defense that completely shut down our running game like BC did. And what are you basing this statement on anyway? I've yet to see any stats or evidence, just you boistrously voicing your opinion.

How the hell do you think he would be able to prove/disprove he should be the starter if we didn't give him a chance?

Stone's first start was the USM game, if that game wasn't a gimmie win then there's no way Stone would be starting

if it was FSU or any other ACC team Jay Davis would still be starting

Marcus got the reigns for the USM game b/c Chuck realized he had an opportunity to see what Stone could do for an entire game without risking a loss

but you know what? we almost lost that game. in some respects we should have lost that game. 99% of the time you do not commit 4 turnovers and come on top with the W. it was a lousy and pathetic win, but nonetheless a win.

and because it was a win, and Marcus Stone's name was attached to it, Chuck couldn't bench Stone for the FSU game because he would get more hell from the fans

the truth of the matter is that Andre Brown and the defense won the USM and the FSU game. Compare the rushing yards and defensive stats of those game to any previous game and you will notice a significant difference. Stone's contribution included 1 completion in the first halves of those games, the ability to hand the ball off, and a few good pass plays late in the games. I don't believe he sparked the defense to play better, I believe the defense started to up its game after they scored a safety in the W-F game.

The BC game was the reality check for this new Stone era of NC State football. I'm not claiming we would have won with Davis playing in the BC game, but I think we would have played a better game offensively.

that's what training camp is for
and he played last season
and he's started 3 games

and in all the time's i've seen him play he hasn't done anything to show that he's definitely better than Davis in my opinion

he has an arm...so what? his completion percentage is terrible

he's a terrible decision maker...though i'll admit that he at least makes decisions whereas jay is a bit indecisive, but they're still not always the best decisions

he's athletic and can run...ok well we don't want a qb who runs all the time when he can't find anything else to do with the ball. why? b/c he's more prone to getting hurt if he makes himself open like that. hurt qbs don't make for effective ones

he doesn't have as many interceptions as jay...well he hasn't played as many games as jay, nor has he used his ability to pass the ball as often, therefore of course he shouldn't have as many ints as jay

a lot of those are my basic complaints about stone. he is becoming more competant though. he's beginning to make somewhat better decisions and learning to be patient in the pocket and he is a tough player.

but when Stone becomes a deciding factor in helping us win games, then i'll say he's better than davis. until then we could have a monkey as quarterback and it wouldn't make a difference in the way we play.

Which is exactly why he's playing. You cant learn to make better decisions on the bench...there is no way to simulate game pressure.

thank you for proving my point...that he's better off playing than on the bench...this is for next year, not this year....and you even agree that davis is not better, so whats the difference???

oh yeah, there is none...so shut up.

Stone bothers me b/c he will not throw the fucking ball. He has to give his recievers a chance to "make" plays. even if they're partially covered. This is why i worry (well i really don't give a shit) about his growth. i think we're gonna be screwed next year also.

If we can't throw the ball, we sure as hell can't run the ball. So...who ever thought we had a run game????? 2 good running games = run offense?? Im just asking...state fans.
