I love 311's early stuff and my favorite is transistor. that being said, I've felt the last few albums were pretty shitty and I heard this one isn't very good either

i too like their earlier stuff...but im not a big fan of transistor....pretty much everything after 311 i didnt really get into a whole lot.

...maybe its just the way you said it, but transistor isnt really an early album, if you meant it that way.

no, I didn't mean it was an early album. but I definitely think they peaked on that record.

Music ownz all.

I would then say a tie for 2nd by Grassroots or the self-titled one.

I just think they really pushed the envelope with transistor. music and grassroots were awesome, but transistor is just so spacey.

I can see that argument. but then again, I liked Oasis "be here now" so who knows.

311 is probably one of my favorite bands but this newer stuff just isn't the same 311. They hardly ever do the whole rap/rock thing like they used to which is why I liked them so much.

i am currently in the process of ripping the CD to my work computer... up next is the Taproot album.

I've liked pretty much all of 311's albums over the years.

they've definitely moved away from the rap.

its good, but its definitely a different vibe than previous albums. more laid back i think. but Music rules. and transistor is prolly 1 of the best. u cant beat the 21 songs on that album.
