the failed attempt was the one that the terrorists supposedly used boxcutters. it was the one that crashed in the boonies. maybe because the pilot (who probably knew about the previous attacks because the reporter on board with the cell phone did also) thought "all they have is knives im gonna crah in the boonies". The tragic sucessful attempts probably had more than knives to be sucessful, at least i hope they did. They must have killed the pilots and flown themselves because i doubt any pilot would do that even with a threat. "i am going to die anyways and so is the entire plane, i might as well crash in the water" the pilots would have thought.

I think the general consensus now is that the terrorists flew the planes themselves. I think you might be on to something about the Pitt flight though. Either the pilot crashed it or the terrorists fucked up trying to operate it. Crashing in an open field seems to suggest the former. It's only my theory, though.

box cutters in Pentagon, that is what the wife told her hubby..both actually. The guy in the bathroom of the one that crashed in the field, he said i think both too. Also the wife said there were group of 3-5 that took control, and the pilots along with passengers were hundled in the back. The guy said there was some explosion and smoke then he said "we are going down" then communication was lost.

These guys had trained at it and the guy never reported the hijacked transponder code. So he knew what was going down and said fuck this and put it in the dirt. Thank God, who knows how many more deaths we would be talking about otherwise.

Ted Olson was solicitor general or something...I think his job was to handle court cases for the government.
