They had a number on the bottom of the screen, but it's busy. I figure donating some blood is the least I can do.

I probably can't either. I'm getting over pneumonia and on medication. Plus my arm is already all bruised up where they fucked up taking a blood culture.

Donate Blood:
The American Red Cross is asking people who want to give blood to call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE. They say they need O+ and O- blood in particular.

Rex Hospital will be accepting donations until 12 a.m. at Rex Blood Services Donor Center 2709 Blue Ridge Road in Raleigh.

Rex's Bloodmobile is also accepting donations at Price Waterhouse in Cary, 1300 Crescent Green Dr. until 3 p.m.

I'm glad to finally figure out where to give it. I called the cary and Raleigh offices, but I've been getting a busy signal the whole time. I'm on my way over there. If that's isn't a good reason to skip class, I don't know what is.

Susie, I don't think it matters what your blood type is. I'm sure they would take whatever blood they can get.

listening to the radio right now...

A Lady with the RED CROSS is saying this:

- if you already have an appt to give blood, go
- if you don't, make one for the next couple of days
- if you don't, you won't be able to give today (too many people donating)
