Two teams that really need something to happen, I think it'll probably be an enjoyable game.I'm personally a big fan of Adrian Boothroyd and Watford, I just think they're really unlucky.. I guess you could say the same about Charlton being unlucky, but whateverp.s - good story about Jay Demerit - http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/magazine/10/09/soccer.demerit1016/index.html

of course the special one is going to cry, he always thinks everyone is picking on Chelsea... nevermind the fact that they do whatever the fuck they want.I don't think it was on purpose, and I certainly don't think he was laughing as Mourinho claims.[Edited on October 17, 2006 at 8:34 PM. absolutely dominant from start to finish
11/4/2006 12:01:47 PM
wynalda and arena are the commentators in the booth tomorrow for the mls semifinal...that should be hilarious since they hate eachother...
11/4/2006 1:39:51 PM
^^^^ Eurosport (as in the distribution warehouse and the whole business) is in Hillsborough on 70-A. It's in the middle of nowhere...you drive through forest on a two-lane road for a while and all of the sudden it opens on to a clay lot that's covered in multicolored steel buildings that are linked with ramshackle covered walkways, and there are Eurosport vans everywhere. You can go in and buy something from the front desk any time, but they won't let you browse the warehouse unless it's the yard sale, which only happens twice a year.

Chelski loses, Man U is now 3 points clear at the top.[Edited on November 5, 2006 at 12:58 PM. Reason : gg Tottenham ]

thank you Aaron Lennon arsenal lost too, coupled with a Man U win on saturday, it was a good soccer weekend[Edited on November 5, 2006 at 2:57 PM. Reason : bad football weekend]
11/5/2006 2:56:20 PM
^^ Good for Spurs. The EPL Preview this week had a six minute segment about how the fans were pissed at Martin Jol because Spurs hadn't beaten any of the big three in recent years.
11/5/2006 10:01:38 PM
looks like it will only be the double this season for united. top team in the prem loses to the bottom team in the championship. southend 1 united 0
11/7/2006 5:11:25 PM
^ Only the Carling Cup, not a big deal.
11/7/2006 6:02:14 PM
Screw the carling cup, we only needed it last season coz we had to make up for doing so shitty in the CL and premier league. Won't need any thsi time around, UTD is gonna kick some london ass!!!
11/8/2006 4:32:47 PM
i guess i only said something cause it would have been tight to win all three trophies
11/8/2006 5:25:47 PM
European treble >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> domestic treble
11/8/2006 5:32:10 PM
who in this thread is from england?
11/8/2006 8:24:11 PM
I might as well be Rumours being bandied about for Adu to United?A year ago I would've thought this a horrid idea... today, I'm thinking it might be one of the best moves possible.
11/9/2006 8:24:33 AM
The plan all along was to sell him to an English club for big bucks...don't see why it shouldn't happen.
11/9/2006 1:15:11 PM
dont know what Utd would do with him other than put him off on loan, but im still for it
11/9/2006 1:26:34 PM
haha you United fans have to be somewhat upset about that Southend loss... I don't care if it is "just the Carling Cup," they were beaten by a crappy team but they were still fielding a pretty decent squad.
11/9/2006 1:40:36 PM
Utd would move him out to the wing, and I think he's a natural replacement for Giggsy. He's young enough that he could adapt, and who better to learn the wing from than the best winger to play the english game? Also, i was a tad miffed that we didnt beat Southend, BUT it wasn't that we got dominated. We just didn't convert the multiple chances that we had. It sounds cliche, but it IS just the Carling Cup. People were giving us shit last year because it was the only silverware we won, now they give us shit because we look past it to the FA Cup, the league, and the Champion's League? Please. No one takes the CC seriously.[Edited on November 9, 2006 at 8:10 PM. Reason : .]
11/9/2006 8:09:34 PM
Yeah, maybe not seriously... but it's just funny to me that United fans are just blowing it off like it was an exhibition game.I don't think it was a big deal either, except for Southend fans, holy shit, how hype would it be to be a Southend supporter that night
11/9/2006 9:13:45 PM
Spurs/Chelsea on FanZone right now. Should be hilarious considering the result.
11/11/2006 2:31:17 AM
dammit i wish i had foxsports world
11/11/2006 2:45:31 AM
oh and back with the Adu issue, hes on a two week trial with Man U and they will sign him if he "impresses"
11/11/2006 4:01:21 AM
jesus, Drogba is on fire
11/11/2006 11:28:51 AM
if he would have played like this during the world cup...Ivory coast would have shocked alot of people.
11/11/2006 11:57:42 AM
i hate drogba, he is single handedly keeping chelsea up by the top in the premier league and in the champions league
11/11/2006 11:57:49 AM
I hate Chelsea, but I don't hate Drogba. He did a lot for his image during the World Cup and I love his style of play now. I just wish he didn't play for Chelsea
11/11/2006 12:20:53 PM
GLORY GLORY MANUTD!!!! Chelsea were impressive, but then again, they did play Watford. Villa pulled off a big win, Martin Oneil is doing a great job with them. It looks like the Addicks are destined to relegation.
11/11/2006 1:51:26 PM
liverpool looks like absolute shit on the road
11/12/2006 1:31:20 PM
yeah, they got destroyed today.
11/12/2006 4:07:03 PM
it's about time for Shevchenko to show up
11/13/2006 12:57:05 AM
Bolton with an emphatic 3-1 win over them fucking gunners, Anelka saved his best for his old pal Wenger. Liverpool looked toothless against City, dunno how they pulled that one off. Villa were decent, Petrov makes them so much more lively and creative. Who's ready for an absolute cracker at OT tomorrow? I'm gonna get together with a few friends and watch it, let me know if anyone else is interested. Needless to say i predict a Utd win, 2-0 maybe? Giggs and Rooney?
11/25/2006 6:22:00 PM
good that arsenal lost, im not feelin a man u win though...i think drogba is gonna come through and save them again
11/25/2006 7:21:14 PM
Hell of a game, it's unfortunate that both goals could've been prevented with some better positional goalkeeping (though Saha's placement was perfect).I would've liked to see Ronaldo stay on, it's too bad that he picked up that knock. Obviously, United went to a holding scheme once he went off, but even then you could feel the forward air go out of the team without him.
11/26/2006 1:07:46 PM
If Ronaldo had kept his feet on that second try in the 2nd half, United would've won.Man of the match was Vidic, though. What a great performance. He's put Wes Brown on the bench for good if he keeps that up.
11/26/2006 1:11:54 PM
ronaldo was shit, everytime he got the ball he didn't do anything effective with it. United were lucky to hold on, they didn't do enough in the second half to win it. Carrick was my man of the match, won some big battles all around the pitch.[Edited on November 26, 2006 at 1:19 PM. Reason : .]
11/26/2006 1:19:25 PM
Carrick almost handed the ball away twice on top of the arc. While I agree that Ronaldo could've put in some better balls, in the last twenty minutes he was the only one pushing forward with any notion of scoring other than Giggs, who ended up serving balls to Cudicini.
11/26/2006 1:23:55 PM
Carrick did give up some dumb balls, but he is stepping up into the Keano role. He had a bit of tiger in his tackles today.
11/26/2006 1:35:54 PM
11/26/2006 1:50:59 PM
So how does taking the ball and running toward the corner show attacking prowess? I mean, don't get me wrong, i am a huge utd fan and a bigger ronaldo fan, but he was far from impressive today and i personally think he didn't use the ball effectively. Sure he was their best player goin forward, but judging from utd's second half display, would you say thats impressive?
11/26/2006 4:01:12 PM
He's no Lori Chalupny, but he's no Pat Noonan, either.[Edited on November 26, 2006 at 4:06 PM. Reason : crazy anonymous whities]
