I don't really understand how we come out of that with three technical fouls and an ejection and they get hit with nothing. There was at least one UNCG player that clearly left the bench to come after Copeland. And the whole thing started with a UNCG player clearly running into one of our guys.

On a fifth look.....the dude that started the whole bumping appears to have been in the process of coming off the bench and came onto the court to be a dick as our guys were trying to help McNeil get up. That could be an ejection too if I'm seeing it right.

I might do a deep dive on their numbers. But a quick glance shows they’re 2-1. Which is significantly worse than our 3-0 record. But they’ve won 1 game in a row so maybe they’ve hit their groove. Hard to say.

Simple enough? Well let’s dig deeper

We have an important data point. VCU has lost a game this year. The blueprint is there. We just have to repeat Utah State’s performance vs VCU and we should be able to win this one. So what did Utah State do that all other VCU opponents couldn’t manage? Well, in that game VCU was held to a season low of 77 points and allowed a season high of 80 points. Thats a recipe for a VCU loss. What we can’t do is allow VCU to score 100+ points (1-0 when doing so). We also need to make sure the offense is clicking. VCU has held one third of its opponents to 61 points or fewer. The really cool thing about NC State’s statistical profile is there is no data point on how the Wolfpack can lose. They’ve won every game so far. VCU can analyze film but they won’t find a single game from this season in which NC State was defeated. So they’ll have to get creative in cracking that riddle.
