Yeah, he's old. Somehow he has been playing for a Spanish pro team for like 4 years (that's where the eligibility thing is weird). I got the impression when people were talking about him before that he is seen as very experienced and capable of playing center at a high level in college. His height hasn't been doing him any favors to get into the NBA at that position though. And I suspect he is trying to shift to being more of a 3/4 combo guy based on recent years (shooting a lot more 3s).

Glad to get another big man but read he averaged like 3 points a game last season so not expecting a huge impact. Hopefully he can rebound.

DW, Holloman, Q, VAL, TA, and Breed will all be out of eligibility.

Portal PG seems obvious to get some experienced ball handler in. A lot probably comes down to who, of the remaining eligible players, is back. I think Wade has said before that he prefers to bring in more HS recruits and then add supplemental pieces through the portal. At least that’s what I remember him saying.

^ Yeah, I remember him saying something to that effect too. In year 2, he might not have much choice yet with so many seniors.

We probably need at least one more experienced big man too. I have no idea how Wilkins development is going but I assume we'll go after a high level PF/C type to pair with Sagnia. I guess that could be the kid from Finland if we land him. Technically he is lacking in the experience dept, but probably more than makes up for it in the elite dept. Apparently he has earned nicknames such as "The Finnish Freak" and "Slim Jesus." No clue how we stand with him vs the other schools right now.
