LOL. Part of me wants to panic. But the other part of me realizes that the portal close date is just the end of transfer drama part one. Between the guys that declared for the draft and will withdraw and the guys that realize their transfer deal isn't as shiny as someone else's, I expect a whole other round of commitment flips. Which could be where the smart money comes in. The market values have been established, so now you know what you need to pay to flip the guy you wanted.

No reason to panic. Portal closing just means you can’t enter the portal anymore. Players that are uncommitted can still commit.

JT3 is likely referring to UL transfer James Scott who we’re involved with. Unsure if a commitment has been secured silently. But I am quite sure that a public commitment hasn’t happened yet

Haha, yeah that's a silly hot take, especially given all the actual individual weaknesses you could point out . I can't actually find a website that ranks FT% from lowest to highest, but I would bet a wad of cash that 43.5% is in the bottom .1% for anyone playing 20+ mpg.



Edit: Just to clarify, I'm not knocking on him overall. His ability to score within 3 feet is pretty impressive and there are a lot of highlights of him rocking people in pick and roll situations. Plus he can rebound and block. I can see why we'd want him. Despite their shooting weaknesses, I could see him paired with Copeland being really hard to stop for a lot of teams.
