I don't think she was amazing on policy but in 2024 I'm comfortable calling her an amazing candidate. Shackled to Biden, facing epic global anti-incumbent sentiment, given the shortest of runways, and facing a tidal wave of other obstacles, she had a damn good showing. I don't know who does better in those circumstances, in either party. Not sure she can recreate that magic, though. Honestly I think her biggest advantage in '24 was that the short time frame limited her ability to get bogged down in consultant/pollster/messaging stuff. And to the extent that she did listen to those voices, it hurt her (see the move away from calling the other side "weird")

I think she could have been better at 'improv' in debates, hard for any candidate to go against Trump though bc it's impossible to predict what he's gonna say. I also thought shen needed to make it clear there was a a gap between her and Biden but I understand why that was hard for her.Anyway my assumption was that UT was implying she loves by the left or something but maybe im just projecting [Edited on July 31, 2025 at 6:11 PM.
