what is worse for you: tylenol pm OR the actual sleeping medicines like ambien?

i know if you don't have pain taking tylenol is dumb. but what kind of harm does shit like ambien do to your body?

I have only taken Ambien once, and I was drunk at the time so I can't really judge

and pretty much all medicines if abused can play havoc on your liver

My parents both have hard time getting sleep, so I know eventually I will too in all likelihood.

But with my long/busy days I usually fall asleep within 2 minutes of laying down. Take tonight for instance... laying in bed at 8:10 and already dozing even though I need to be studying.
