token is part of the cryptocurrency vernacular if that's what you mean.

as far as cael's post, that's more in terms of using AI models either via API or tools that use AI APIs (like coding IDEs like cursor, video editing tools like descript, etc). when software developers use AI APIs, you're typically charged by how many tokens are in your request, and how many tokens you get back in the response. if you're just using chatgpt you don't really end up seeing all the "by the token" metrics, but under the hood that's how all software that uses AI typically works.

we were raised in a new england catholic environment. we stopped going to church mid 90s though, and none of it had really stuck for either of us anyways. i don't do the timesheets. that is a relatively new feature and i'd already gotten used to a particular workflow of using the product. that said, i am building something similar in one of my own projects (which will probably ultimately replace my rescuetime subscription)

camp. i'm sure there may be rare exceptions that can be found in my digital footprint but i generally try to avoid thinking or talking that way about people. if i ever find myself getting so worked up about somebody that i wish them harm/death, that's just not a particularly comfortable mental space for me to be in and i reflexively pump the brakes. although, if somebody did something to my kids I can see myself smashing somebody's skull with no qualms.

if "what's coming to them" means they are tried and convicted in a court of law for crimes they've committed, then yes i'm pretty enthusiastic about that

i use both windows and mac but for windows:

win+s for screenshots
windows+tab to show the Task View + virtual desktops
windows+H for window voice typing or windows+ctrl+space for wisprflow
my logitech keyboard has a useless calculator app key on it and I remap it to open chatgpt voice. i also remap the scroll lock key to open Obsidian.
