I boarded my dog for a few days and when she came back she ran right to the door and sat down to be let in. Usually I have to drag her back inside because she wants to be outside all the time. Once she got in she ran around all excited for a good fifteen minutes and now she's been sleeping all day, hasnt gone to the door wanting to pee once in 12 hours. I'm thinking she was so worried/stressed over the last few days maybe she didnt even sleep

we use a cageless boarding. it's a bit more expensive, but it's supervised 24 hour play time.

they sleep because they're exhausted, but still happy.

i have had bad experiences with caged boarding places too.
