That's very easy to check. It's a simple blood test and should take like 24 hours to come back.

(my son has thyroid disease)

Yeah, and if it is do some research on your actual diagnosis bc it's a good thing to be in tune to once you're diagnoses. I'm hypothyroid. So if I start gaining weight rapidly for no reason, am feeling down, losing hair, tired, or other symptoms, I know to get my levels checked.
