i got one of the kids a flip7 last year. she likes it a lot. i started considering getting a flip too but i've been wanting a smallish 4:3 tablet for sooo long and the passport shape of the fold8 fits the bill. the fact that i can fold it out to a medium sized tablet is just bonus.

I did end up getting the Z Fold 8 last month. I do miss the telephoto zoom I had on my S23 Ultra but otherwise I'm pretty happy with it

Man that iphone seems like a great user experience though. Apple going to change how we use phones
