Honestly, the whole discussion is BS. There are always people willing to go extreme on all sides of the equation, and it's not even their politics: it's them! They just need a medium. The real thing to focus on is the source of hatred/fear and the kinds of emotions that make a society more chaotic and unstable. And it's pretty obvious what side that is.

Yes and no. It's not a terribly difficult shot for someone with a decent level of marksmanship training, but the average Joe isn't making that shot otherwise.

I also saw that Hegseth said that DoD will be "tracking" service members and DoD civilians who post things online in favor of or mocking the death of Charlie Kirk, and it sounds like it's so they can be removed from their jobs. Now granted, you do give up a certain amount of 1A freedom while on active duty, but that doesn't apply to talking about some random dude like Charlie Kirk. Sounds totally illegal to me, never mind that the general language of it sounded awfully Orwellian.
