as soon as i turn on my wifi the music starts playing again and i can't find where it's coming from.

how so exactly? details of my personal conversations were quoted verbose to me by kids who this manifesto was distributed to. I saw a picture of myself in my upstairs bedroom on a student's phone that could have only been taken from my cell phone camera that night. Students have made very specific quotes to sounds, words, and uhh... other things... that happened, including the number of times these things happened.

I'm pretty sure you can download legit camera and mic block apps for both Android and Apple phones. I can't comment on how effective they'd be for your problem, but the ads seem to suggest they block the camera or mic from access from ALL apps.

You would think that as we all age, so would our maturity levels, but apparently not. Why would anyone on God's green earth want to forward this to his administrator, when he is clearly here asking for technical assistance with a serious issue. Someone's privacy has been violated to the core.

Smath isn't Hulk Hogan, but gawker is about to go out of business over similar crap.

If this happened, I hope they catch whoever did it and punish them to the extent of the law. If they're minors, then they're probably looking at some serious expulsions, and if they are good students, then obviously that would carry considerable weight with them.

And in no way has he indicated he shouldn't be working with kids/teens via this thread. You people just need to grow up.

No, it's all pretty possible, provided you have a shit ton of time, admin and physical access to the machines, and access to hundreds of thousands of dollars of government hardware (only for one part of it)

Screen Mirroring - Would need to install some sort script kiddie tool to do this. Would require user to download a trojan or to leave the computer unsecured. Even if it was a trojan, I think the Windows Defender/Security Essentials would pick up on it.

Take over of video/audio capture on a phone - Again, would need physical access to the device because Android would prompt user 'do you really want this app to gain use to the device's camera?'

Breaking WEP - Yeah, that's trivial with brute force, but most tech doesn't use WEP anymore since like 2003. WEP2 and WPA are essentially impossible to brute force with normal tools. I doubt Smath's router is simply WEP.

Tracking location via cell phone, hijacking cell signal - Yeah, you need a Stingray or other type of device here. These devices cost close to 100k on the black market.


Assuming Smath didn't just leave his laptop out and cell phone out on his desk, left the room for a solid 20-30 minutes, and came back, I really don't think this is possible. Even if he did, there would still be hard parts to account for like someone getting on his network. The thing I don't get the most though is, if someone had done this, they would have had essentially root privileges of everything on his network, there is then zero need to actually be physically close to his network. Why would you even do that? You have everything you need and now just risk getting caught.
