"I started using this puppy (https://gillette.com/en-us/products/beard-care/king-c-gillette-double-edge-safety-razor) this year.

It's super cheap, and worked great for the most part. Plus it's nice to not have to throw out a bunch of plastic stuff every month or so.

And heck yeah, I've used a "fogless" mirror in the shower for shaving for a long time, it helps a ton

I have one of those. Doesn't get as close as something with 3-5 blades

I tried fogless mirror previously, still didn't stay clear enough to really see well imo

Straight blades, safety razors, mach 3, fusion, electric... they all give me some form of razor bumps or irritation.

The only thing that doesn't irritate my skin is an Andis T-outliner. I adjusted the blades so it gives me a super close shave, without going all the way bald. This is no normal, day to day.

If I am willing to put up with some slight irritation, or a few razor bumps for a closer shave, I have a Braun series 3 electric, and a Norelco Wet/Dry shaver that work pretty well. I will take one of these with me if I am traveling, usually.

If I want to torture myself, and inevitable get razor bumps, I'll use my Mach 3 or a safety razor.
