i finally started to learn after about 4-5 years of eating fast food for dinner every night.

Also it's much more expensive to cook than it is to eat out

it might be cheaper to buy some shitty $1 cheeseburgers from the value menu but it is most definitely cheaper to cook good food vs going out

Actually it's cheaper to cook anything than it is to eat out, but you will have to make larger quantities when you cook it yourself.Burgers for example, it's hard to buy 1/4lb of beef and one hamburger bun.

its not hard to take a minute when you get home and separate it thoughand you can always freeze lots of leftoverssoup, sauces, stews, etc.

I don't consider myself to be a good cook, but I cooked a pork tenderloin in apple chipotle sauce yesterday that came out pretty good.Everybody should learn how to cook, but it takes some time and I totally understand if you haven't learned how to cook yet.

I never use the defrost feature on the microwave. Maybe I should get into that.

I do the same thing. Hamburger, pork chops, fish, deli meat, etc. all comes from Sam's Club in bulk. Most of it goes straight to the freezer until a couple days before I want to cook it. I defrost by putting it in the fridge for a couple of days instead of using the microwave. Sometimes I'll defrost fish by running cool water over it.[Edited on February 14, 2008 at 10:54 AM. ^It's overrated, letting stuff sit out and defrost works out much better.
2/14/2008 10:55:31 AM
Im pretty sure ive got this covered. Oh and
2/14/2008 10:57:02 AM
I usually put it under dripping water/bowl full of water for steaks and stuff like that but for simple burgers it's simpler just to nuke it real quick
