Pearl was in the low thousands....like 1500 on the Arizona and another 1000 killed elsewhere. This is far worse than that.

Bush is a moron, you could tell he was reading offa the teleprompter the whole time. If I was operating the teleprompter I woulda slowed it down to show the world what a fool he is.

I would feel much safer in UK tonight.. Meaning.. his speech was much more comforting than our president's.. I agree that there was too much rhetoric and not enough words of action or condemnation... Listen to Blaire's words...

Quote :
""As for those that carried out these attacks there are no adequate words of condemnation. Their barbarism will stand as their shame for all eternity.

"As I said earlier, this mass terrorism is the new evil in our world.

"The people who perpetrate it have no regard whatever for the sanctity or value of human life and we the democracies of the world must come together to defeat it and eradicate it.

"This is not a battle between the United States of America and terrorism but between the free and democratic world and terrorism.

"We therefore here in Britain stand shoulder to shoulder with our American friends in this hour of tragedy and we like them will not rest until this evil is driven from our world.""

Wouldn't you feel safer if Bush had said something like that?

This is not the time to take fucking shots at Bush. Take shots at terrorists, this is fucking ridiculous. Bush said all he needed to say when he said "There will be no distinction between those terrorists and those who harbor them."

i think the president has a bit more on his mind right now than to write out a damn speech to read, give the guy a break, he has some tough shit to deal with in the next few days.

I think this is what everyone was wanting to hear that wants some sort of retaliation (which is everyone I know). Afganistan was one of the first countries to contact the US to say they condemned the attack. Obviously they're worried about getting their asses kicked with good reason.

It's all a shame no matter how you look at it though.

GO PACK!!!
