I heard on the radio that the SEALs covered the eyes and ears of any kids near by when they shot Osama. I'm curious as to how it all went down then, given that many of them had time to find a kid while others were negotiating the capture of bin Laden (aka giving him the opportunity to surrender)

^^I saw that, so yeah its another conflicting story coming out of this already convoluted situation. Why can't one person just sit down, watch the damn helmet cams, write a log, and then brief every fucking White House source and get everything straight. Its not looking good for us when we can't tell consistent stories, not to mention not release the kill photo or burial video. Conspiracy theories are growing more and more every day in and out of the US. One comment I read was all

I read somewhere that as the SEALs were going through the compound they zip-tied everyone they found. I guess you could interpret that as "saved'. They took a few male captives with them on the helicopter when they left, but didn't have room for much since the first one got destroyed.

Yeah by "saved" I meant "moved out of harm's way". Still seems a little improbable but who knows.

^^That list is going to get a lot longer as the press trys its best to draw this story out. They're trying to fill as much air-time as possible with breaking Osama news. Eventually, it leads to over-analyzing; examining and re-examining this story's superficial details until the mere fact that they've been examined so closely gives them some kind of artificial significance.

"We're just received word that Bin Laden may have had a boogey in his left nostril. Could this boogey have resembled a weapon? Perhaps the seals were spooked by the boogey and fired prematurely?
