tell me this....

why do half of you douches here at ncsu that think you're cool believe that you need a boat to compliment your shitty life? i mean its sortof cool but not really that cool to own a boat and actually use it for something besides being a poser and thinking you're going to get ass with it, or to invest money in something you completely suck nigger balls at, but when daddy buys you a boat and alot of rods and reels to decorate it with so you can try to look cool driving it around and posting pictures of it, you're really just an ass monging butt fucking faggot poser douche wannabe.

you should spend daddys money on something cool instead

note that i'm not hating on legit people with legit boats that use them for legit purposes including recreation, i'm just hating on most people that go to ncsu and think that they are gods gift to the boating world like half the cunts in this thread and think they're living the life with their hot shit. its just like all of yall that pay for flowmasters on your trucks and roof racks with lights, shovels, and axes to drive around raleigh and cruise the mall parkinglots.

$0 expense? Should people tell their dad not to buy a boat so that their inheritance will be bigger or something?

I recently graduated from a Yacht Design school and beleive me I have seen some "bad boats". Meaning that some of my classmates that had not grown up or interacted with marine vessels whether sailing or power had a significant disadvantage than those of us who had when designing different vessels. My point is plenty of people think they can draw or design a pretty boat but much more goes into these than people think and that is one of the reasons they cost what they do.

Hey guys, I'm interested in buying a catamaran.... something big enough for 2 or even three, but small enough that I can take it out by myself... I really have no idea where to start or what the price range for new and used is... I need halp!

well the first thing is to decide what your using it for primarily....short one hour trips or 1/2 day trips or racing. I am assuming not racing since you are asking this question but I could be wrong. I know there may be some individuals on here with good advice but I would refer to http://www.sailinganarchy.com/index_page1.php. There are lots of people on there and I would assume topics on this very subject you are refering to with really good post instead of the crap you get on here sometimes when asking a decent question. I design power boats for a living now but when i was in school I refered to that website when I was designing sailboats for various questions I had. Hope this helps

i know saltwater magazine did a similar picture a few years back as an april fools joke. The reflections and everything look real but i don't know how easy someone could edit that in. The weight and everything from those engines back there make if very hard for me to beleive that it is real. The fuel tanks would have to be huge and there is no cabin or other substantial structure up forward that could help move the COG forward so I don't know but it is funny to look at.

The ramp at OI was a bitch this past weekend. With the spring tides, there was barely any water to float the boat onto the trailer. But my dad learned a valuable lesson when it comes to winch, lets just say he had to get part of his nose glued back together.

Looks like the pulpit on the other boat is sticking through the regulators bow rail. Maybe it is an illusion or else someone packed those boats in there pretty tight.

No because women shouldn't own boats, or be allowed to fish.

The Grady pretty much got a Stage IV diagnosis. The factory opened her up, and what they found was bad, the front fuel take broke loose and smashed her guts up. All the vibration of the tank is what had caused all the screws sheering and the gel coat cracks. They are going to see if there is stringer damage, but they said it might be another 4-6 weeks till we get to see her again, maybe more if they have to rebuild some of the structure.
